I have had this water bottle for over two years and I love it. I have carried this water bottle around with my EVERYWHERE. I like it so much that I bought one for my husband and best friend. You only want the best for those close to you, so you already know how good a product is if people are buying them for close ones. I was curious how there could be one star reviews on this, so when I looked, I saw it was mostly due to the non-steel lid and ice melting. I don't use the non-steel lid with the straw (I thoroughly enjoy having my lid strapped to my bottle, and being able to hold on to it, so I only use the steel lid with the rubber part that connects to my water bottle. Plus, I am thankful for the steel lid because I try not to drink out of plastic. Thus, I cannot speak to the other lid if that is something you are looking for.). Secondly, in terms of ice melting - yes, it does melt. HOWEVER, your water is kept cold for hours (I have never had it where I had ice/my water at a cool temperature and it EVER warming up.)! This is a great water bottle, and it is at a price point where you feel comfortable in investing in it. Having it for 2+ years, and filling it up 2-3 times a day (32 ounces), I have received AT LEAST 1,825 uses out of it (2 years X 2.5 fill-ups on average). There is great temperature control, it is sturdy (this is coming from someone who is clumsy), and it has a great design (I have purchased the teal 32 oz, black/white ombre 32 oz, and navy 40 oz for myself and others.)! I use the teal one, and I LOVE the color - it is so vibrant and a beautiful color). Also, my husband and I have both put stickers on ours and they work well. My husband has the black/white ombre one, and has a white sticker that overlaps both, and it looks so sleek! The only thing about my water bottle is that it is too wide for my cup holders in my car since I don't have large/adjustable cup holders. However, as long as the lid is screwed on tightly, I put it on the ground and it does not leak. I also want to give a shout out to the customer service team; if you have any questions or concerns about your water bottle, just go to their contact page on their website and send them an e-mail. They will get back to you within 24 hours and help you solve your issue if it falls under their lifetime warranty - how cool is that? You don't get that very often with companies, and that is something to really considering when buying any product you plan on using consistently. Most don't offer superior service, but you are lucky if you buy from Hydro Cell because you will receive awesome customer service that is responsive and respectful! Keeps my water cold for hours at a time, convenient lid with pop up straw. Easy to hand wash with a bottle brush, haven’t tried it in the dishwasher. It can be a rough life for my water bottles, they tend to fall out of my car a lot or get dropped by my kids. While dented and dinged, it holds up well to some rough treatment.

What designates a "5-star" product from a "4-star" product? For me, its when a product goes above and beyond. You think, what could a stinkin' water bottle do that is "above and beyond"? Well, I'm happy to say that this product is made in the USA, the water bottles are elegantly designed and have care and thought put into them: you can't imagine how difficult it is to pick out a large waterbottle that actually fits in a standard cupholder! It comes with two caps, to fit your usage. Their customer service is ultra fast, friendly, and helpful. The price is right, and above all else, can you believe the product actually works as advertised? Super cold or warm drinks for the whole day. To me, all that combined makes this a stellar product and one that I'm happy to use, and recommend wholeheartedly! When I first got the product I assumed it was just like any other waterbottle/cheap thing you buy on Amazon, it comes from some other country, and has no instructions and a bunch of cheap accessories they throw on to inflate the price and make it seem like a better value. I've been taught this from too many Amazon products. So, I was not surprised when I unboxed it filled it up and the next morning went to drink and ended up with water pouring out down my chin. Over the next few days I started drinking a LOT more water, because the bottle was attractive, it fit in my cupholders at work and in my car, it was convenient, and it kept the beverage enjoyable because it was ice cold- just the way I like it. But it leaked, every time I took a sip... Disappointed, I contacted customer service to initiate a return. I was really kind of sad. The customer service person was overtly polite and apologetic and wanted to ship out a return at no cost. They even wanted me, again, fully prepaid, to return the bottle to them so they could inspect it for manufacturing defects, which I was more than happy to do. What company does that? Not many that I've dealt with. Most just want the product back so they know you aren't scamming them. However, after I started talking about a return, I did some Youtube investigating because I wanted to see if perhaps the leak was specific to the 24oz bottle or something. As I went through reviews, nobody mentioned it. And finally I stumbled upon an unboxing video where they showed someone putting the water bottle together and that's where it hit me. There is 2 straw accessories included with the water bottle. These accessories I assumed had to do with the other bottle cap that came with the product. Or, I assumed it was for if you literally just didn't want to put a cap on at all so you could drink out of the bottle. I don't know what I was thinking. I clearly wasn't. But anyway, after looking at the video I realized that it was leaking, because the straw cap is meant to be used in conjunction with one of these straws on the inside of the bottle. That way, you aren't inverting the entire water bottle upside to drink out of an open hole. What an idiot! After I realized this, I tested it, and of course it worked. I went back to customer service and immediately told them my error. I'd like to call out Jordan who was the representative who was very helpful the whole way and may have chuckled to himself but never made me feel like an idiot. As I mentioned, the bottle looks great, and has made me drink more water each day. I think from a combination of it being nice and cold, and from the flashy bottle being in my peripheral vision to remind me to drink. In fact, each day, even though I know you should be drinking more than one 24oz bottle a day, I have to make baby steps. And each day I come home with a bottle that was full in the morning that has less and less each progressive day. I call that a win, and it is all due to this product. I would completely recommend this product to anyone. And plan to pick up some more bottle soon as gifts. My only negative would be that it should come with some basic instructions on how to care for it, and maybe a little idiot-proof diagram that shows if you use the straw cap, that there is an interior straw that needs to be added.

The best water bottle I've ever had. It keeps the water cold for more hours than any of the other bottles I've owned. Ice was still floating in it 12 hours later! It is well-made and attractive. You get two lids - one for sipping with the included, detachable straw (two straws) and one for drinking without a straw. Having a wide-mouth bottle makes it easier to add ice.

I own two different sizes of those bottles, and I only use them with cold drinks. I would give them 5 stars for thermal insulation. Normally I toss-in 3 large ice cubes in the bottle and fill it with whatever liquid and I refill the bottle again throughout the day with liquid only (around 2X times), I’m still able to get a very cold drink after 24 hours and that’s all I need. I’ve tried other brands but I’d stick with this one because I enjoy the bigger opening size to toss larger ice cubes and it can be cleaned easily. Also it fits in my car’s cupholder (the smaller bottle not the 40 oz). Finally it has no curves (nice and clean design) and it is very light-weight. Now, let’s move to why I took-off a star. First, the outer rigidity, the bottle did fall from my hand once and the bottom got dents easily from one fall only. Personally, I can live with those dents aesthetically, but the problem is that the dents are on the bottom side which means the bottle wouldn’t stand still properly anymore, especially when it is empty/open. (see video) The second thing is the cap-holder (the plastic pieces which is attaching the cap to the bottle). It is really strong and durable but it should be a bit more soft-flexible, why?! because if you would drink directly from the bottle, be prepared for a slap from that thing with the bottle cap. You’d argue that this is to much attention to details and it can be managed (Yes), but seriously this happened to me a couple of times and it is very annoying, especially when I’m on roadtrips. For the record, the bottle is supplied with another suction-type cap - I personally do not like using it. Other people might use it by default. *Note: the video uploaded for demonstration only after getting a small dent, which unfortunately happened to both bottles I own. (The key message is don't let it fall especially if it is full) - Hopefully we'll get a better improved design to tackle this issue.

This is the most fantastic water bottle made!! I filled mine up with icy cold water. It was still icy cold the next morning after having drank 80% of the water. I had to test that out. It likely stays cold longer, however I regularly use mine, so I had to wash it out, I have a straw brush to clean the straw. *You’ll need to buy one if you don’t have one. They send you extra straws, however no cleaner brush. I’m a bit ocd in keeping my bottle/straw clean! I bought the cord carrying handle which I found was very convenient and sturdy to carry the bottle vs putting it in a bag or awkwardly carrying it. 64 ouches is big. To attach the corded handle, you dip the ring in hot water and push over the opening of the bottle. Very easy. And I bought the silicone base as I take it to work and I didn’t want to be making metal bang noises. Or slip and crash to the floor. I just pushed the bottle into it. Super easy. Great color options, selection of sizes, retains temperature, the cap is a bit snug to put on/off, however that is needed for proper security of water to not leak. It is easy enough to remove after a couple of uses. I am immensely pleased and plan to buy my family 64 ounce bottles for their next birthdays. And I love the happy, fun neon green color! No boring color for me.

In mid-April 2021 I purchased an 18 oz Hydro Cell wide mouth water bottle. I wanted to use it for green tea. I make two cups of the tea in the hours before bedtime and bring it upstairs to keep in my bedroom so I can drink it first thing in the morning. The bottle kept my tea at the correct temperature for at least 10 hours — I haven’t tried it for longer. I liked the bottle so much that several days later I decided to splurge and replace the three awkwardly sized and rather battered stainless steel water bottles I had been using for years. The new bottles arrived the day after I ordered them. I love these bottles. They are beautiful. That might not be important to everyone but I use these bottles every day and it’s a pleasure when something so utilitarian is also so attractive. I wish I could justify buying more colors. I use the Neon (ombré spring green to chartreuse) for my tea. I use the the Navy/White, the Lavender/White, and the Teal/Blue bottles for the water I drink throughout the day. I fill them with water and take them out of the fridge throughout the day to use as a decanter. I keep one next to a glass on my nightstand at night. They keep my water perfectly cold (out of the fridge) for at least 16 hours and probably would keep them cold far longer. I’ve had these 4 bottles for over 4 months. I only wash them by hand. I don’t take them hiking or anything but even around the house they do get knocked down and bumped around and so far not a single one has a scratch or a dent on it. Nor have the caps ever leaked. (I haven’t yet used the sports cap with the straw that also comes with the bottle.) The slightly textured surface of the bottles makes them much easier to grip than most metal bottles. I did purchase Hydro Cell protective silicone bottom boots in matching colors for each bottle. They don’t detract from the look of the bottles. The colors match almost perfectly and they are very helpful at keeping the bottles extra stable on tables and nightstands. The only problem I have had occurred about 3 months after I bought the bottles. The rather stiff black plastic strip that attaches the stainless-steel screw cap to one of the bottles I use for water snapped in half and the cap was no longer attached to the bottle. Although I bought my Hydro Cell products on Amazon, I decided to email Hydro Cell support on their American website and explain what happened. I received a very polite and friendly reply informing me that they were aware of the issue and their R&D team had developed a new, more durable rubber arm band attachment and they would be happy to send it to me at no charge — which they soon did. The new band is a great improvement: more pliable so no longer prone to cracking but strong enough not to tear. In summary: after using my Hydro Cell bottles every day for over 4 months I am very happy with their performance, their durability, and with Hydro Cell’s customer service. FYI: Hydro Cell did ask if I would leave a review on Amazon, which I am finally doing, but they didn’t offer anything in exchange and I actually forgot to tell them I would be happy to leave a review. They sent me my replacement part long before I submitted this review so there was no improper quid pro quo.
