However it's not there to even out the "discharge rate" (Not sure what that's even means.) BMS ensures the battery is never over charged, over discharged, and balances the cells at the end of a charge cycle. **Q: can it be used in a jump starter** A: Not really. Most jump starter batteries are bigger, closer to 20 AH. Also this battery's BMS will not allow it to provide enough amperage to provide any use as a jump starter battery. I have used the CTC 20 AH battery in a jump starter, and it works great, providing up to 200 amps of boost. However the CTC batteries have been backordered for months. **Q: Can you put two in series for Remington lawn mower?** A: You can absolutely put two in series to make a 24 V battery. I am not familiar with the Remmington, but it can take an amp draw of up to 20 amps before the BMS protection unit will shut it down. **Q: What is the life span that you can expect from this? Ive had this battery 13 months, and it no longer will take a charge. It has less than 50 charges** A: Check voltage with a multimeter. Check your charger specs. It may not be able to begin charging if the battery voltage is below a threshold. Otherwise, contact Dakota. Wired in series, they provide the 24-26 volts needed to power my electric bike. I made a wiring connector that puts the batteries in parallel for charging with my 12-14 Volt auto battery charger, and series when connected to the bike. The folks at Clean Republic were very helpful when I asked a question about chargers. They sent my order right away, and it arrived well before I expected. Their low price for a lithium ion battery of this capacity attracted my attention too. Having replaced a pair of similar sized SLA batteries, I can tell you that the performance is awesome!
