great value for excellent product
I have 3 of these and they work excellent for my game cameras. 1 is also used for my water pump for inside my camp

Great little battery with warranty that delivers
Was a great little battery until it died after less than 4 years of light use. Dakota swapped it out for a new one under warranty, no problem.

12 Volt Lithium batteries has been a perfect success! Wired in series
My application for a pair of these 10 Amp Hour, 12 Volt Lithium batteries has been a perfect success! Wired in series, they provide the 24-26 volts needed to power my electric bike. I made a wiring connector that puts the batteries in parallel for charging with my 12-14 Volt auto battery charger, and series when connected to the bike. The folks at Clean Republic were very helpful when I asked a question about chargers. They sent my order right away, and it arrived well before I expected. Their low price for a lithium ion battery of this capacity attracted my attention too. Having replaced a pair of similar sized SLA batteries, I can tell you that the performance is awesome! I love the dramatically lighter weight and much greater run time I get with these lithium batteries. After two months of use I have no complaints or disappointments. Great product, great vendor support, and a great price!

DO NOT BUY! - Expensive junk
Long story short, I do not have a working battery, I have spent 5 times the amount of money as I would if I bought the same sized lead acid battery, I cannot get a new battery or my money back until I send Dakota their battery back and pay for it, and do not expect a timely response from any of the 3 people in the “customer Service” department. Purchased a 12V10AH battery to run some small led lights on my boat. The longevity of the batteries warranty and weight they advertised was enough to sucker me in. After receiving my first battery I got two uses and charges out of the battery (keep in mind it was never fully drained) and the battery never worked again. I couldn’t get it to charge with a fairly expensive lithium battery charger (rated for that battery). So, I reached out to the lack of customer support Dakota has and after a week I was told they would send me one of their chargers. After another week I received a pretty sad excuse of a battery charger that was clearly mass produced in China that did absolutely nothing to fix my problem. After this was realized I reached back out to customer support and another week later I got a response. After being asked all kinds of question about the battery in about 2–5 day increments, I finally received the response that I would be sent a replacement battery. After an additional month I received my replacement battery in the mail only for it to never have a charge or ability to take a charge with both the Dakota charger or my expensive charger. Both batteries showed 0v on a volt meter throughout this process. I reached back out to customer support and another month goes by of back and forth about what was wrong and I received another junky charger from them without requesting one. All this only to find out they will not send me a working battery until I send back the two batteries they sent me to conduct testing to determine if a new 3rd battery can be sent out or I can get my money back. I really wanted to give Dakota the benefit of the doubt throughout this process but I’m at my end now. All I am asking for is a working battery but given my experience with them thus far I am not really sure if this is even a reasonable ask. I’m not one to complain about service or products but I can’t help but feel like I just threw my money away and all I got was a big headache and run around. I hope this helps someone save their hard-earned money because I wish I would have. Would rate lower if possible.

surprise...actually delivers as advertised
I concur with the tester that did a drain down test to this battery. I was very surprised to find a capacity of over 10AH on two tests with a remarkably high efficiency of recharge as previously reported. I stopped at 10.1AH since the voltage dropped to 10.2 volts under load at 4.6A drain and I did not want to excessively drain the battery. I bought the battery as a standby electric outboard battery in a sailboat. The LIPO4 has a great storage life as compared to lead acid as long as it is stored without a full charge. I will report back later on how it works out. So far I am impressed. Vastly exceeded my expectations. I used a rather sophisticated test setup that is capable of measuring amp-hours.

Your UPS (depending on the model and software capabilities) may not be able to fully charge this battery.
I am using this in my UPS (APC BG-550GI). First of all the problems: (mostly not battery's fault). It appears impossible to fully charge the battery using the UPS itself. The UPS reached battery voltage of 13.7V and stopped the charge process, indicating that the the battery is at 100%. From what I understand I should be able to reach a voltage of 14.1 so obviously the battery is not fully charged. Unfortunately this UPS cannot be recalibrated so it can be forced to continue charging until the battery reaches higher voltage. I am not entirely sure how much of the capacity is in fact being used, but hopefully it is still more then the full capacity of the SLA I used until now. So far I haven't had a power outage, so I can't comment on the actual runtime of the battery. Reported runtime is ~32minutes (which doesn't differ much from the previous estimates of the SLA). With that said the UPS never actually held for that long and forced shutdown at best after 20 minutes of operation. I did run battery tests using UPS software and the battery passed the test, so I guess it will work. Another thing that surprised me, is the time it takes to charge the battery. My previous SLA battery charged much faster (at least according to UPS data being reported back). Of course the hope is that this battery provides a much improved runtime and more recharge cycles. The good: 1. Hopefully longer lifetime (more recharge cycles). 2. Higher capacity (will be tested when I experience the next power outage). 3. Lighter battery which makes UPS a little more portable (though it still weighs alot even with the new battery).

My testing showed it exceeded advertised capacity at 10.1 Ah with 97% charge efficiency
This battery actually exceeded it's rated capacity in my tests. I did two full discharge/recharge cycles, and after a full discharge, it took 10.4 amp hours of charge, and after putting those 10.4 amp hours of charge into the battery I was able to pull 10.1 amp hours out. Generally, most batteries are advertised at their "actual"/rated capacity rather than "usable" capacity. For lithium batteries the "usable" capacity is generally only about 80% of the rated/advertised capacity. So I was quite pleased to see that I could pull over 10 amp hours out of this battery without pulling it's voltage under 11.2 volts. (Dakota Lithium/Clean Republic lists the discharge voltage as being able to go as low as 9.2V, but it's not good to discharge lithium batteries under 11V generally) For the charge efficiency, see the pictures attached: Putting 10.448 Ah into the battery yields 10.13 Ah out of the battery. 10.13 / 10.448 = 96.95% That's incredibly efficient. On an SLA battery you're lucky to hit 80% efficiency and only about 50% of the rated capacity is usable. So while this battery is about 3-4 times more expensive than an SLA of equal "rated" size, this battery is far more efficient, and gives you twice as much "usable" capacity as the equally sized SLA gives you and weighs 1/3 as much. It's also rated for 2,000 cycles vs the typical 400-500 for an SLA. So over the lifetime of this battery you would need to buy roughly 8 SLA batteries at $25/pop ($200 total) to equal the lifetime usable capacity of this battery at $99.

Excellent choice
This battery is so much lighter than my previous one and holds up great in cold weather. I used to have to keep two batteries with me so I’d have a back up after the first one died within a few hours. I got through an entire day on the ice with this one. No back up required!

Do not buy!
Great products, but buy them from somewhere reputable like cabelas! This store will not help you at all post sale. Take the minor inconvience and buy Dakota lithiums from somewhere else! Awful service.
