TOSOWOONG Arbutin 7% + Tranexamic Acid 4% Cream for Dark Spots, Brightening

Update - The first picture of my side profile was after 3 months of use. The head on before and after is after six months. Keep in mind, I cut out dairy and sugar, lost 25 lbs and use this along with 3 other products, 2x a day. The second before and after pic is after about 6 months. I’ve had hyperpigmentation for 10 years from laying in the sun while on antibiotics when I was in my 20s - not smart! The dark spots are fading and significant lighter. Several of the spots and freckles have completely vanished. Now, for the large hyperpigmentation areas on both cheeks, I hope it continues to fade. Again, this pic is only after a month. Visible results in 1 month is amazing for under $30.00. Not sticky as long as you let it dry. Includes retinol which dries skin. I use serum and moisturizer after to avoid drying out and flaking. My skin is not dry or flaking and has a glow. Super silky product and feels smooth on skin, it’s refreshing. No smell, and didn’t make my face red. It seems to absorb well, but I use a hairdryer in between each product u use to open my pores with the warm air and dries the product faster and absorbs quicker. It application, just like all serums. Very pleased and I am excited to see more results in a month from now. If you struggle with stubborn skin damage like me (mine is really bad) I know how freaking frustrating it is when you just want it gone! I thought my face would stay this dark and get darker for the rest of my life. I have a little bit of hope now that it will mostly go away one day if I keep following a skin routine. This cream makes my skin feel soft and amazing! I’ve only been using it for a few days so I’ll be back to review the sun spot on my cheek, but I can already feel and notice my skin plump in the morning. It did make my skin purge a little and got small breakouts. For the people complaining of breakouts after use it is completely normal. I am an esthetician so I know this. This product contains retinol and it can cause temporary skin purging. It pushes out hidden oil and dirt, dead skin cells and clogged pores. Always wear Spf when out in the sun because retinol speeds up cell turn over, which brings new delicate skin cells to the surface that can burn and damage easily. You just have to be patient and let it do its work and the results will be amazing after.

There’s no stickiness, no greasiness, and no pilling, even when layered over serums or under sunscreen. What I notice most is how this helps my skin look more even and smooth over time. This isn’t an overnight product, and I don’t expect dramatic results from something like this. Instead, it’s more about gradual improvement in tone and overall skin quality, which is often more realistic and sustainable. This also works very well for daytime use, especially if you live in warm weather or humidity. Because it’s lightweight, it doesn’t feel heavy or suffocating, and it layers easily with the rest of my routine. I also appreciate how gentle and skin-compatible this cream feels. Even with relatively strong percentages of arbutin and tranexamic acid, I didn’t experience irritation, dryness, or sensitivity. That’s something I always look for with brightening products. Fragrance is also worth mentioning. There’s little to no noticeable scent, which I personally prefer. It feels clean and simple, and I had no irritation related to fragrance. Another thing I like is that this doesn’t leave my skin feeling fragile. Some brightening products can make skin feel more sensitive, but this one feels supportive and comfortable. My skin looks hydrated, smoother, and more even without feeling overworked. This is not a miracle product, but it’s an excellent maintenance cream that helps improve tone gradually while keeping skin comfortable. Those are often the products that end up being the most useful long-term.

I had severe acne in my 20s and early 30s, and unfortunately, I’m still dealing with the PIH acne scars left behind in my 40s. I’ve tried several topical treatments over the years to fade these stubborn dark marks, but I haven’t had much success. I’ve been using the TOSOWOONG Arbutin 7% + Tranexamic Acid 4% Cream 3 times a week for 12 weeks, and unfortunately, I haven’t noticed any significant fading or lightening of my acne scars. I was really hoping to see some improvement after using it consistently for three months, but my PIH looks essentially unchanged. That said, there are some things I do like about this cream. It’s lightweight, has never caused me any irritation, and a little goes a long way. I only need about a pea-sized amount, so the tube lasts quite a while. My only complaint with the texture is that it can feel a little sticky or tacky after application. Since I haven’t experienced any irritation, I’m going to increase my use to nightly application and see if using it more frequently makes a difference. However, based on my experience so far, I don’t plan to repurchase it once I finish the tube.

So far, no noticeable results. But I've only been using it for about a week. So we will see!! Love the formula though! The only thing is, a little goes a long way! If you use too much, it will start to ball up but 10/10 definitely recommend!

So I actually put this in chatGPT to get information and advice. After 2 weeks of using it morning & night there has been a visible improvement of my dark spots. And you absolutely have to wear sunscreen with this otherwise you will not be making any progress and I think that’s where people are not seeing any change.

Heard a lot about this product. Wanted to try it for my stubborn hyperpigmentation. It has helped break down my larger, stubborn spot on my cheek, but it's a slow process. Be patient.
