Ranch has replace ketchup as the favorite condiment in our house and this takes it up a notch! It's great for dipping stuff like wings and nuggets, and also great for putting on sandwiches and burgers.

I have to start by saying that I am a ranch snob. I'm not a fan of many ranch dressings unless it is made from a packet. This Hellmann's Buttermilk Ranch Chicken Tender Mayonnaise Style Dip is a mayo with a hint of buttermilk ranch flavoring. You have to go into this product knowing that it has a mayo consistency. The taste is...okayyy. As I said...more of a mayo taste. I'm not a huge fan of buttermilk so maybe that effects it as well. This one will probably not be repurchased. I will stick with regular Hellmann's mayonaise and my packet-made ranch.The product is a squeeze bottle which makes using easy and arrived with safety seal intact.

The Hellmann’s Chicken Tender Buttermilk Ranch Dip is a good product that tastes exactly like you’d think it taste. For me, where it lacks, is the value proposition - the estimated retail price of this bottle is around $4. That puts the cost per ounce at nearly 40 cents. Compare that to the cost of the leading brand ranch dip which likely comes in at under 20 cents per ounce, and does it better because it is truly a dip. This Mayonnaise style dip is very thick, like toothpaste thick. It spreads easily, but I wouldn’t consider it a dip. For those reasons, I have to give it a 4/5 rating.

This dip has a distinct buttermilk ranch flavor and is very thick and creamy. Great for chicken tenders or a sandwich etc. but may also work well in a recipe where plain mayo is required. A little pricey compared to store brands, but worth it to me. Great overall!

I don't like it. At all. However, you may love it (like I LOVE Hellman's mayo) so I can't say it's good or bad, it is what it is, buttermilk flavored canola oil compared to Hellman's soybean oil mayo -- it's literally subjective taste. While I LOVE a scoop of stop and shop brand organic smooth peanut butter with real parmigiana cheese in my pasta sauce on angel hair pasta (so rich and thick) you may gag. With that said, this does have a rich mouthfeel and taste like buttermilk. However, while I LOVE Hellman's mayo on Boar's Head deluxe ham and Swiss Finlandia cheese or on a cheeseburger with ketchup and onions, I don't like the buttermilk taste of this product but wanted to give it try since I never tried it before. I can't fault it, it's just a taste preference and this tastes like buttermilk so it meets the definition of of the product with an easy to use bottle and a useful peel off tamper seal. And yes, I tried it on chicken and chicken nuggets, and NOTHING beats Kraft Honey Mustard for that (so bad for you, but tastes so good! Granted, I haven't had that in years, so they could have change the ingredients and it may not taste as good as it did a few years ago) With all that said...if you like buttermilk condiments, you may really like this and it's relatively inexpensive enough to give it a try.
