The timepiece itself is use of decent quality and is perfectly acceptable for everyday use. I'm pretty rough on my watches and this watch fits the bill as I go about my daily routine. It keeps good time and has a good looking face. It seems many have trouble with the watch band sizing. The arrows on the inside of the watch band show the direction the pins should be pushed out. The pins stick out ever so slightly on one side or the other of the watch band giving the band a rough feel. I used a soft nail file and polished the pins smooth. The watch band feels much better afterwards. I would buy it again and recommend the watch to anyone looking for a cheap timepiece.

My doctor wears a Rolex that looks identical to this watch. The clasp pops opens easily and smoothly. It is shower safe, and water resistant to 98ft (30 meters). There are a couple downers though. The joints are a little loose, I got it snagged in my beard by napping once. You can't change the band to adifferent style because the pattern of the band goes into the frame/case of the clock, it can be replaced I think if it were to break. I wanted to put a black and silver stainless steal pattern band on it (about $20). Update: been about 2 months and the watch dial on the face, which is black, has scratched with bright shiny stainless steel under it. The watch lens did not scratch, so most likely the black scraped off. The need as harder material fo colors. I knocked it down a star to 4 star from 5 star. I think my black stainless steel medical bracelet caused the scratch/scrape which I wear on the opposite arm. I will try to cover it up with black no chip nail polish. I am also goig to try to change the band with a stainless steel with black in the middle 20mm band from walmart for $13. Don't have much to lose now, the watch is damage and not as classy or eegant looking anymore. May need a better brand.

UPDATE: This watch is absolute GARBAGE!!!! I left my original review below, but it is all replaced now with more facts While this watch looked great when I first got it, after 18 months, the case is badly corroded, But more importantly, the watch is just DEAD! That's it - didn't even last two years. Avoid this junk at all costs. My 40 year old Sako watches are developing problems, so I was looking for something else for every-day wear - something that would cost significantly less than getting the old Sakos repaired. This seems to fit the requirement. LOTS of options on styles and looks, all just skins on basically the identical quartz watch as far as I can tell. At first glance, this one seems pretty impressive. I did not want any digital display of any type, just a real watch. But I also wanted at least a date, and ideally a rotating bezel that could mark basic elapsed time. Again, I was able to find the right match with all the options I saw available. There seems to be several price ranges for these Olevs watches, but nothing to tell me how they differ, if at all. If the manufacturer chooses to not be specific about the differences, I am assuming the more expensive ones are the exact same watches that are only intended to sucker buyers that feel better about not buying the cheapest ones? I wouldn't trust the watch for being water resistant in any way (neither the crown nor the back screw down), but otherwise it seems like a decent choice. Now for some specifics - I am a big guy - not particularly fat - but big enough that many watches with a standard leather band are just barely big enough to fit me. This watch with the stainless band is plenty big - in fact I had to remove two links. And they do include the tool needed to do this - just be careful how you use it. Many other reviewers have complained about how flimsy that tool is and how easy it is to break the pins, but I found that they mostly just did not understand what they were doing - if you are careful, it works just fine. Here's the deal, the links in the watch band are not precision machined inside, so the links do have some natural slop and flex in how they move around the pins. And the pins seems to mostly be just the tiniest bit too short to fully go from one side of the link to the other. This in no way affects the look or feel of the watch band, but it DOES make it easy to screw up when you try to remove a link. The little tool they give you does not have any mechanism to hold the band fixed in place, so as you begin to turn in the punch to remove a pin, the band will naturally flex up a bit over the base of the tool, and this allows the pin inside the link to move slightly out of alignment with the hole in the link. And that is the problem. If you let the band rise up as you screw in the tool, that tip of the punch on the tool can slip off the face of the pin inside the link and go into the hole at an angle, causing it to bend or break. The problem is very simply remedied by just holding the band down with your thumb! Once I recognized this issue, any pin in the band (except one) was very easy tor remove without damaging anything. That single exception was stuck in place hard enough, and had enough slop in the pin fit, that I just never could get the tool to stay in place. So I simply went to a different link.

Quality watch.

The OLEVS 5885 is about what you’d expect from a ~$30 watch, but in a good way. I bought it knowing it wasn’t going to compete with higher-end brands, and with that expectation in mind I’ve actually been pretty impressed. The biggest standout is the appearance. This watch looks far nicer than its price point would suggest. I get compliments on it fairly regularly from both friends and random people who assume it cost much more than it did. If you’re looking for something stylish on a budget, it definitely delivers in that department. Functionally, it does its job well enough. It keeps time reliably and hasn’t given me any real issues there. The glass/crystal is also surprisingly durable. I’ve worn this watch quite a bit, and while the rest of the case and bezel have picked up scratches over time, the face itself has held up extremely well. Another pleasant surprise is the bezel. It’s functional and unidirectional, with strong, clear, tactile clicks. It feels solid and hasn’t loosened up with use. That said, the cheaper elements do show up if you look closely. The bezel markings are pretty cheap and scratch easily. Also, the small lume marker at the 12:00 position on the bezel fell out during the second week of owning the watch. Overall though, I’m quite happy with it. For the price, it looks much more high-end than it really is, and I can comfortably use it as an everyday tool watch without worrying about babying it like a luxury piece.

Needed a watch to match my dress shirt for weddings and funerals. Works great.
