Now I want to make ones for the floor too. It`s heavy material so use a mold if you`re making complex shapes. I ran (2) layers with the grain running up and down, and (2) layers cut at a 45 degree angles. With polyester resin, it`s comparable to standard auto body sheet metal. I was using it to repair a sailboat rudder and it is way to heavy to wet out on a narrow area, did not know what 24oz was but now I know it is huge. I would say this would be intended for flat laminated projects where lots of strength is needed. I would imagine it would take a a bit of epoxy to wet out. It was my fault buying this weight of fiberglass as I did not know the difference between weights. If you are going to be doing typical repairs for boat dings and damage I would get the thinner glass.
