## Overview

The Loksak LO-212203 Odor Proof Bag is a 12.25 x 20.75-inch FDA-approved, heat-resistant storage solution that guarantees 100% odor and air tightness. ## Description

Along with being 100% water and air tight like our ALOKSAK, the O.P.SAK (Odour Proof SAK) is also a 100% odour barrier bag. We use the same seal on our OPSAK - no gusset - that we use on our ALOKSAK, but with a different film that is odor proof and FDA approved. You can store food undetected to bears and other pests in your campsite by sealing them in the OPSAK. Also, because the OPSAK is FDA approved, you can use it in food preparation and storage. You can even pour boiling water into the OPSAK because of its extreme heat resistance.

Review: Five Stars - Spot on
Review: Great bags, weak seems at top of bag - Backpacked in a area that didn’t require bear canisters. Read a lot of reviews about these bags and decided to try them out.. Worked great. No encounters with wild life wanting our food. Maybe we were lucky maybe it wasn’t the bags but hey how does anyone know. We traveled lighter this way and there is a lot of reviews that talk abt the seems ripping easily. Well, that could happen for sure! We were as careful as possible and didn’t overpack the bags and they were fine. Could see that it could have been an issue though. It would be amazing to have this company redo these bags with a stronger more reliable seem at the zipper.

## Features

- Great for food transport and storage
- Add boiling water to the OPSAK to rehydrate food
- Can withstand direct heat up to 170 Fahrenheit
- 100% Odour Barrier Bag

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will it keep a police dog from smelling pot? I'm asking for a friend...**
A: Honestly 90% of the effectiveness of drug dogs is the quality of the officer's profiling skill. Watch any video on youtube of a drug dog sniffing a car, any time they "alert" the car, the cop is usually giving them a cue. The cop ALREADY knows what you have before he brings the drug dog out, the dog is just there to manufacture legal probable cause. The best defense is to obviously not smell like weed, and to always just calmly talk and act like you're not doing anything wrong... because you're not.

**Q: The item is labeled as 2 12"x20" bags, but the description says "Multi pack contains: 1 each of 7 x 7, 9 x 10, 12 x 20". Can you clarify? Thanks**
A: I got 2 12x20 bags when I ordered. Wish they did came in the multi size option.

**Q: Was this actually tested against bears?**
A: Bears will go through these sacks faster than the side of your tent.

**Q: If this is taken on a longer hike (~5-6 months), how long can this expect to remain water/air tight with daily use?**
A: The first thing to fail will be the closure, which is not very robust. I use these bags on wilderness trips, inside ursacks, where I open them 4-5 times a day. To be on the safe side I replace the bags after 15-20 days, depending on how good the closure feels.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blocks smells completely
*by C***Y on 5 March 2021*

As a test, I bought some guava and put it in one of these bags. If you’ve been near ripe guava, you’ll know it has an extremely strong and noticeable scent. This bag blocked it entirely. My dog could not smell it after placing the bag on the floor. This will work well for camping. I have zero doubts
