A Delightful Discovery: Wink Coffee's Blonde Espresso Beans
I recently had the pleasure of trying Wink Coffee's Blonde Espresso Beans, and I must say, it's been a delightful experience from start to finish. First and foremost, the quality of the beans is truly exceptional. From the moment you open the bag, you're greeted with a rich, aromatic scent that promises something special. The beans themselves are perfectly roasted, showcasing the dedication to quality that Wink Coffee prides itself on. When it comes to taste, these beans truly shine. The Blonde Espresso offers a beautifully balanced flavor profile. It's not too overpowering, allowing the subtle nuances to come through. I detected hints of citrus and a gentle sweetness, making every cup a pleasant surprise. Whether you enjoy it as an espresso shot or as the base for your favorite coffee drinks, it never disappoints. I'm so impressed with Wink Coffee's Blonde Espresso Beans that I've already added them to my reorder list. They've become a staple in my coffee routine, and I can't imagine starting my day without them. If you're searching for high-quality beans with a fantastic taste, I highly recommend giving these a try. You won't be disappointed!

Excellent complexity and flavor!
I love my coffee black and typically make a single cup each morning just for myself, as my wife doesn't drink coffee. I am always searching for a lighter roasted coffee with a good flavor profile, as I love the taste of good fresh coffee, but I also want the higher polyphenol count that you get from a lightly roasted coffee. Some light roast are also light on flavor though... As you can see in the picture, the color is light, but cloudy since I brewed this in a french press. The complexity is great, with citrus and sweet notes while still retaining the nutty and toasty flavors typical with a light roast. Even brewed in a french press, this coffee is light-bodied and doesn't leave any lingering bitterness on the tongue. In fact, even when I sip a little of the sediment typical with a french press brew I am not tasting any bitterness. So, that tells me this is a fresh coffee. I was pleasantly surprised by this coffee and even happier to learn that it is roasted in Austin Texas as I live in San Antonio, so I can always get a new shipment quickly. Not sure if they have a shop in Austin, but I will definitely check into to it the next time I travel there. I only wish they had a decafe option so I could send some to a good friend of mine who is a coffee lover as well, but has been told by his doctors that he should only drink decafe. It is hard to find good options in that space.

๐ One Shot In, and I Was Side Eyeing My Old Coffee Pods
These beans are so underrated. I use a Breville espresso machine and pulling a double shot gives me serious Bianco Doppio vibes. Creamy, mellow, and balanced โ๏ธโจ Itโs light-bodied, slightly sweet, and plays so well with milk ๐ฅ Whether Iโm making iced lattes or sipping it straight, the flavor stays smooth without ever turning bitter ๐ The crema? Thick and velvety. Barista-level stuff ๐จ๐ปโ๐ณ The 2.2 lb bag is a total steal for the quality. Itโs single-origin Colombian, small-batch roasted, and honestly feels like a cafรฉ upgrade at home โ๏ธ๐ธ Quick tip: I preheat my portafilter for about 30 seconds before pulling. Game changer for smoother, more consistent shots ๐ฅ If youโve been thinking about switching from pods or just want a better bean for your morning latte, this is it ๐ฏ Add it to cart now and thank your future self later ๐๐ผ ๐ธ Iโm adding a pic of todayโs double shot so you can see what I mean. So pretty, right? ๐

Not good for espresso
I tried different grind sizes, weights, flow rates, temps, and even different filter baskets, but couldn't get a good shot. In cortados, either the acidity was in the way, or it turned out bitter. As espresso (only tried once), it was borderline undrinkable. Judging on the channeling, I have a suspicion that the beans where just not fresh enough. Not having such issues with other beans. As a pour-over with v60, the coffee is ok, but I don't think that I'll buy these again.

Great blonde espresso option
Prior to owning an espresso machine my husband and I fell in love with the smooth flavor or blonde espresso at a local cafe. Once we decided that it would make sense for us financially to purchase an espresso machine we started reviewing beans. When I saw the Wink Blonde Espresso, and the reviews, I figured it would be a great place to start. Well let me tell you -- we're stopping here (at least for our main staple). When I first opened the box I loved how the bag is resealable -- truly a different maker. With the bags that you roll down I just always felt that I had to put the beans in another container. But the real winner here is the espresso you get with these beans. Every time we pull shots we get great espresso, a wonderful layer of crema, and a taste that would appeal to many. The blonde is lighter -- not bitter, so it's easy to drink as is. Outside of being used for espresso shots this makes great lattes. My husband purchased at least one latte a day -- now that we have these beans and an espresso machine at home we no longer purchases them (unless it's been a REALLY long day at the hospital). One bag lasts us almost a month. If we look at the cost of a bag of these beans (<$20) compared to $20+ a week in purchased lattes it's a no-brainer. Definitely try the Wink blonde espresso! You won't regret doing so.

Soooo good!
The best blonde espresso I've ever had! I bought an espresso machine to grind my own beans and coffee and so glad I found this brand. The beans smell amazing right from the start and the flavor is just the right amount of espresso without being overpowering. I just bought my second bag and plan to continue buying this product!

Undrinkable
As a Vine reviewer I take my reviews seriously, just like I take my coffee and espresso. This has to be the worst espresso I have ever had. It is rancid, bitter, acidic and taste like a ton of lemon peel was dumped into it. After my first attempt in our Breville espresso machine I thought maybe I had made it wrong but after the second go I dumped all of the beans out and got as many out of the machine as possible. I made it perfect as in just the right pressure, grind and amount of coffee. This is just horrible espresso and if I had to imagine what cat urine tasted like, it would taste like this.
