These are great lamps. They work well and look great on my end tables.

The prices of lamps and lampshades have stunned me recently, so I jumped on these when they went on sale. I am grateful I waited for the price to drop because there is no way the quality is equal to what the original price was. They are super cute lamps but lightweight and a bit frail. Fortunately they’re going in a guest room so I’m not as concerned as if they were being placed in a family room where they’d have constant use. So for what I needed them for the lamps are fine. The lamps are very lovely to look at, just may need to be handled with more than the usual special care.One really nice thing about this transaction I must add because it really amazed me.... Amazon stepped up on the delivery in a big way. The lamps were due at my home on Monday and I was unconcerned that they’d arrive in time because tracking had shown they’d been delivered to our local post office at 6 a.m. Saturday morning. I couldn’t believe it when they didn’t arrive on Monday. It would have taken me 15 minutes to pick them up, and I offered, but of course that wouldn’t be allowed. With the latest announcements regarding post office changes I wasn’t sure what was going to happen but I contacted Amazon customer service and pleaded my case. They were stellar as usual and even though the USPS had indicated it would be another two days, Amazon made sure the package was at my home the next morning! Many of us depend on delivery services for work, have contract deadlines, clients waiting on us, etc., so it’s beyond frustrating to be at the mercy of a service that seems apathetic toward customers’ needs. Amazon has not been indifferent in the least from the beginning, and I’m sure one of the reasons they’ve been so enormously successful. Anyway, thanks a bunch to whoever handled my concern, I appreciate it this time and every time, more than I can say. Maybe Jeff could think about printing stamps and privatizing mail delivery...?

Assembly was easy! Lamps were well packaged for shipping so no damage at all. These made a beautiful addition to our home!!

I purchased these to use on our master bedroom side tables. They were super easy to assemble. They are a nice weight which is an added benefit when trying to turn on a lamp in the dark...no toppling over because you fumbled and accidentally hit it! The distressed finish is very pretty and fits the theme of our coastal bedroom. But what I love best is that you can use up to a 100w bulb. Most lamps around this size usually recommend nothing over 60w (trust me, I searched for a couple days on Amazon!). I wanted lamps that would safely accommodate a higher wattage bulb so we can read in bed. Of course you don’t have to use 100w bulbs, but it’s nice to be able to.

Although I really like the appearance the lamp base material is plaster-like & quite easy to break. It's not even solid plaster it's hollow. Got two cracked in half from shipping out of four.

Bulky

Honestly... I’m just a little disappointed. First, these really aren’t heavy enough for the heights they are. If you accidentally bump it trying to turn it on- it’s probably tipping over. Don’t get me wrong these lamps look very nice. I just thought- based on the picture that there would be more brown visible in the “antiquing”... I needed this height which is hard to find in the style I wanted. I wanted more contrast from my antiqued nightstand and just didn’t quite get it in these lamps. It’s ok, I will keep them anyway. They were packed well, arrived in perfect shape. To wanted to love them more but I didn’t pay full price so that’s ok!
