Fantastic-Amazing on How to Save from Paying Taxes in Retirement!
I work as a financial advisor helping families establish a solid financial foundation and prepare for a spectacular retirement. The reason I liked this book so much was because it was an easy read in explaining some really important concepts to reduce or eliminate a family paying taxes in retirement. Sometimes financial investments and retirement planning concepts can be challenging to explain to middle income families who have little or no knowledge of retirement concepts. David Mcknight has done a superb job of discussing a complex idea in simple ways that are easy for anyone to understand.David McKnight's strong encouragement to do something now is sorely needed. The chance that income taxes will be much higher in the future is very high indeed. I don't want to reveal too much here. Read the book and see if you don't agree.I also thoroughly enjoyed David's covering of LIRPs (Life Insurance Retirement Plans) . This is a little discussed retirement planning tool for those that qualify that is a perfect fit for some families to enjoy a better retirement. All in all I really don't have any negatives to say about the book . It is for this reason that I chose to give it 5 stars.

Smart Retirement Planning
I started listening to The Power of Zero through my library app and quickly realized this book was filled with insights I hadn’t considered before. I ended up purchasing a physical copy because it’s the kind of book you want to read with a highlighter in hand. The book goes well beyond the simple idea of lowering your taxes. In fact, one of the most surprising takeaways is that having all your retirement income be non-taxable isn’t necessarily ideal. The author explains why a balanced, strategic approach to tax-free income—especially in light of future tax rates—can be much more effective.Whether you’re just starting your retirement planning or already retired, this book offers a clear and actionable roadmap to help protect your savings from avoidable tax burdens. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about long-term financial health!

This book is likely to make a believer out of you (and I think that's a good thing)
The main point of this little volume is to show you the potential impact of taxes on your retirement savings. McKnight documents proven strategies to minimize or eliminate taxes in retirement, with the goal of achieving a zero percent tax bracket. The book makes several compelling arguments that taxes are likely to increase in the future, and that proactive tax planning can help you maximize your retirement income and leave a larger legacy to your heirs. McKnight advocates using tax-advantaged accounts like Roth IRAs and life insurance as part of a comprehensive retirement plan.McKnight gives plenty of examples along with step-by-step examples. He urges you to work with someone who is knowledgeable in the field.I was amused by the reviewer who wrote something to the effect, "I don't want to talk with a life insurance agent. I want to hear from regular users. "That's fine, but isn't it a bit like saying, "I've got this painful rash that's been spreading for weeks and now my arm is numb. But I certainly don't want to go to a doctor. Doctors are just in it for the money. So, if YOU have a rash like mine (see the picture), tell me what you think it is and what I should do for it. I certainly trust you as a random stranger, over a physician with years of training and experience in this field."

Looking for a solid plan for your retirement portfolio? This is it!
I have helped clients navigate the path from working years to retirement. This transition can be difficult to plan for. With the help of this book, you can easily understand the concepts being presented. You will even learn just how to implement them in your personal retirement portfolio. Taxes in the future could be higher based upon any number of factors we currently face. All time highs in the national debt, a generation of baby boomers retiring, distressed Social Security and Medicare programs, interest rates that are artificially low. Anyone of these could cause higher taxes in our future; all of them combined virtually guarantee higher taxes. If taxes will be higher in the future, why not pay the tax on our retirement portfolios now, while taxes are at low levels we haven't seen in our lifetimes? The Power of Zero will open your eyes to the how, why and when to successfully transition your assets to be in just the right place. Even if you are already retired, there is still time to act and compelling reasons to do so.As a successful professional financial planner with over 2 decades of experience helping clients, this book encapsulates the strategies our clients have utilized. Now you can be 'in the know' and not left behind.
