If you rinse it out, there is no benefit. **Q: How do you open bottle to get product out?** A: You do not open it. It has a pump sprayer and you mist the product on the roots of your hair. **Q: what is the difference between mens & womens cerafill** A: I am honestly not sure. My shampoo/conditioner and hair color is Redken. So, when my husband started having thinning hair, I looked into different treatments and noticed Redken has this. So, my husband and I purchased this product noticed the results within two weeks. His hair looked like the thinning had never occurred. Fast forward to a couple of months ago when we found out Ulta no longer carries this brand and we tried Nioxxin and Bodley. Neither of those products did anything, in fact it looked like he lost hair. For those wondering, we used the shampoo, conditioner, treatment set and got no results. Had to return those items to Ulta and then luckily found this product on Amazon! Please don’t stop selling it. I noticed that it works well both on damp and dry hair.I don't wash my hair very often, only about 1-2 a week, so even when it's not the cleanest, I use some dry shampoo and also this Redken product, and it still looks good, with nice volume and texture.Edit: I didn't realize how much I need it until I lost it, without it my hair just feels kind of limp and lifeless, I need to order a new bottle ASAP. I got to try a sample of this over the summer of 2014 and was surprised in how much of a difference it made. I gave it 4 stars because its a bit pricey (at least on amazon) and that the sprayer clogs every time so you'll get a stream that gets everywhere. Make sure you wipe and clean it before and after use to keep this from happening.There is a slight minty scent, the spray is also slightly thick. Once you spray it around in your hair rub it thru for best results. Then use a hair dryer to lock in the style. You will see and feel that your hair is thicker as you style it.
