Perfect for our hot Texas Summers! Love these!
I LOVE these Vitex! I originally bought 4 of these in the Spring of 2025 from this seller. I loved them so much that I bought 4 more this year! First of all, they are delivered in great condition. Also, since I live in North Texas, I am careful about planting things that require a lot of care and attention because of our hot and dry summers. These Vitex were made for our Texas weather. I planted these in my backyard where my soil consists of our typical Texas โclayโ soil. I literally just dug the holes and put the baby Vitex into the holes without adding any extra soil. Within the first few mos of planting last Spring, these Vitex grew about 5 feet. This past winter I pruned them back down to about 2 feet tall in February. I took this picture today and itโs just 3 mos since I pruned them and they are almost 10 feet tall! They LOVE the sun, heat and need little water. I highly recommend from this seller and recommend these Vitex! Absolutely beautiful!

Items arrived in good condition
2018: Items came in good condition watered them the first day and left them outside on a shady but bright location. I live in Houston Texas and the weather is crazy this year, cold in the morning and nighttime, also warm in the evening. Iโm surprised how the plants did the first couple of days. They seem to be doing great. Hopefully my trees grow as beautiful as the ones in the pictures. Iโll keep on updating progress over the years this way everyone has a good idea of what there buying with the product quality. To make the customer make a decision with this product which I recommend. 2020: It has been 2 years since I bought these vitex trees and Iโm in love with them. They have grown fast and the blooms get bigger every year with multi blooms on each stem. This year the bees started to notice them aNd luckily i was there it was a wonderful thing to experience seeing them pollinate each flower and the joy I feel planting something for Mother Nature and the creatures. Have them all 4 in planters but hopefully soon plant them on the front of my home. There beautiful blooms has a not so appealing scent luckily you wonโt notice the scent till you have your nose close up to the bloom.

Smaller than expected but they are healthy and thriving
I waited a while before writing this review because they were definitely smaller than I expected; however, after a few weeks they are doing great and growing taller each day. Look forward to summers when they bloom!

Happy Vitex Trees ๐ชป๐ฟ
Perfect little trees. They were about the 10 inch height range. Hoping they will be okay with my soil with clay in it. Used miracle grow garden soil to fill in the extra area of the holes dug. Very healthy. Roots are happy. Shipped wrapped in plastic wrap and holds in moisture for an easy trip. Shipping was only a couple days from Texas to Tennessee. Worth every penny. I really appreciate the included Crepe Myrtle Guy can coozie and the detailed care instructions. Thank you Clint and family! Update on September 8,2024: I have had them for a few months now, and they have more than doubled in size during the hottest days of the year with ease. They even have out a few purple blooms. I just make sure to water them once a week if there is no rain. They rooted into my sandy clay soil (zone 7b) without a problem.

Thriving in Zone 9b
My trees are gorgeous! I waited a few weeks to plant two of the four that I purchased. They are thriving wonderfully after about 6 months! The other two are still in the original pots and have taken root in the soil surrounding them. I dig them up just to check on them, and they're both healthy. I'll permanently plant those soon. (Bonus: The bumblebees and butterflies love them!)

Upgraded my Backyard in short time
I ordered a pack of 6 and kept 4. Gave 1 to my neighbor to replace one of their dead trees, and one to my mother to add to her backyard. I planted them about a month after I received them. The photo was from May 2025 - but as of this review September 17th they're already the height of my fence! The flowers are beautiful and the smell is lovely. I ended up having 1 japanese vitex in the mix (far right) which was a pleasant surprise when it's white flowers came in. It's brought in a variety of bees and other insects that's really benefited my backyard ecosystem. They're in a mix of rocky/clay soil - I literally just dug a hole in the ground and watered them daily with some fertilizer tossed in weekly. My mother kept hers in a pot for a year and just planted it at the beginning of summer in her yard - it's almost doubled in size over the past 3 months (3-4ft tall now). My neighbor planted theirs (4 months after I received them) into very densely packed/impacted soil, in a 'sometimes shaded' area. It's alive, but over a year later is barely 2ft tall. I water it when I can and may be replanting it for them soon. This will be my first fall/winter of pruning as the lower branches are growing a bit wild and I want more upward versus outward focus. My dog LOVES them.
