MeLE QuieterDL Fanless Mini PC N150 2.5Gb Dual LAN 4GB 128GB Small Computer

I purchased a MeLE QuieterDL 4GB RAM, added a Silicon Power M.2 NVMe SSD. I chose 4GB RAM since that is more than enough for a Linux router/firewall/PBX project. After limited testing, I am pleased with the MeLE QuieterDL, a reasonable value at $146 USD + free shipping. Being fanless and 2x 2.5Gb NICs was the key selling point. Idle power is 7 Watts, (No video connection, disabled WiFi, eMMC and HD Audio in the BIOS) The 2.5Gb Realtek RTL8125 NICs do not have a registered MAC vendor ID, it would be nice to see "MeLE" as the vendor. Temperatures are reasonable, for example at idle with an ambient temperature of 23C: -- Adapter: ISA adapter Package id 0: +45.0 C (high = +105.0 C, crit = +105.0 C) Core 0: +42.0 C (high = +105.0 C, crit = +105.0 C) Core 1: +42.0 C (high = +105.0 C, crit = +105.0 C) Core 2: +42.0 C (high = +105.0 C, crit = +105.0 C) Core 3: +42.0 C (high = +105.0 C, crit = +105.0 C) -- I was somewhat surprised how the box is hardly warm, albeit no video or heavy CPU processing. Attached is a photo looking inside, note a bracket with a white "pad" pushes on the underside of the N100 forcing contact to the heat spreader. After limited testing, my only negatives so far: * The lack of a "buzzer" (there is a spot on the board, but not populated) * The 12VDC power adapter uses a Type-C connector instead of a barrel jack. This makes the power adapter unique, and could damage random USB-C devices if accidentally connected. All in all, the MeLE QuieterDL is worth consideration for your Linux router/firewall/PBX project.

Tried to install pfSense 2.7.2. Install finished and system booted, but then was halted due to the fact that it cannot recognize Network Adapters. Tried to install pfSense 2.8.0, and install failed completely with error" Cannot connect to installer.

I tried to install the opnsense firewall software for my home office on this small server. It installed but did not find any network interfaces. I found that a new driver was needed for the RTL8125 2.5Gb nics. I had to transfer an updated driver via a usb drive. Once I installed it into the freebsd system it found the nics. An update of opnsense brought a newer driver that is part of the newer release. Since then its been running perfectly.

Product is very poor can't really work with it as a computer and you can't upgrade it

J'aurais même mis 6 étoiles ! Petit, facile à installer, livré avec accroche pour le mettre derrière un écran, absolument complet, mise à jour en Français facile et rapide, chauffe très peu, peut être alimenté par un adaptateur Poe vers 12v, consomme moins de 2A, définition impeccable, prises USB classique et USBC, que du bonheur !! Excellent appareil pour un super prix !!

Appears to be an okay mini PC to run opnsense as a router in a 2.5gb network, but both it's network interfaces are realtek which make it more in-depth to setup with proprietary driver's. Plenty of power for intrusion prevention

Un gioiello. Piccolo, leggero, ben fatto. Ho preso la versione più economica, con emmc. Apprezzo la licenza di win11 inclusa e il fatto che l'installazione è pulita. No adware, no bloatware. È molto veloce, ma si nota che ha solo 4gb di ram. Poco mi interessa perché devo installare linux con HA. Ha le porte necessarie per fare di tutto, fantastico che sia alimentato con usbc (36w), non come gli altri minipc tutti con alimentatori proprietari. Il consumo medio che ho rilevato è circa 10w. È fanless, quindi silenzio assoluto. Si può espandere con un ssd m2. È dotato di placchetta per essere montato dietro a monitor o tv, ma arriva senza cavi. Onestamente non trovo difetti al momento, vedremo con l'uso. Ad oggi lo consiglio!!!

Very impressed with the build quality and the response from support. If you end up buying this QuiterDL make sure to update the BIOS. You have to contact support as the bios has not been uploaded to their website for this model. I hope they fix this. The bios is also fully unlocked, there will be more options than you know what to do with. This is also great as sometimes you need some advanced option and the fact that it is there when you might need it is good. I really like this brand and the pricing is perfect for what you get. I do wish there would be expansion slots as there is plenty of space for it and unused pci lanes but fort 150 euro this is a great mini pc.

Attention c'est au chipset réseau , c'est du Realteck non compatible avec Pfsense . Et devrais mentionner dans le descriptif ! J'ai mis 2 étoiles parce que cela devrais être mentionné Mais pour autre chose cela pourrais etre pas mal
