I did buy plastic embroidery bobs to wind it on (sold elsewhere on desertcart), which you should do for any embroidery thread to keep it from tangling while working with it. This was very easy to do - found the cut end on the inside of the loop. Just put loop on your hand, find cut end on inside of loop, and start winding the thread on the bob and it does not tangle at all.
