Why did you pick this product vs others?: I like this better than the leading brand, which is too hard to scoop out. The texture of this is creamy and easy to apply. It has the best look of all the others I've tried, not glossy, and the hold is just right for my straight hair. It smells masculine and not overpowering. You can still comb it later on in the day. The price is half that of the leading brand of clay pomade. I just found the right pomade for me and this is it.

For the price, this is the best hairstyle stuff I have found. It has a strong hold but keeps your hair looking natural with a matte finish. I'm actually pretty impressed. And it has a decent smell to it.

I’ve yet to find a clay, pomade, etc. that is strong enough to hold my hair —though this one has gotten closer than others. I have thick, straight native hair, about 8 inches long, for reference. Applying damp and blow drying has worked the best. Scent is fine.

Like another reviewer, I was looking for an alternative to Sumo Clay. Sumo Clay is great and it works perfectly for my needs, but now I've found this Arcadian Grooming Matte Clay which works equally as well and at a lower cost. It does have a slight scent, which Sumo Clay does not, but I like the scent and it dissipates after application. I highly recommend this product.

This is my favorite product I’ve tried so far. It’s a creamy clay that easily spreads in your palm to heat up for application. It goes in smooth with no tug. Easy to form style. Very natural finish with texture and a decent hold. Allows movement throughout the day. The only downfall for me is the scent. It’s a deep eucalyptus type which I am not a fan of. Overall, excellent product! I have fine but very thick hair.

Best clay for soft hair and high fade styling

I like the hold and finish of this clay pomade but that's about it. After putting this in my hair if I even tried to run my fingers through my hair it was like pulling my hair out. After rinsing my hair out it was a little better but still fairly unpleasant to touch. Can't say I'd recommend this to anyone.

For slightly more than I have paid for lesser products in-store, I was very surprised at how superior this product was. Excellent hold that lasts, without looking wet/crunchy etc., and soft to the touch. Washes out very nicely. New go-to for the work look. I did, however, receive the wrong order at first. I was given matte paste instead of clay pomade. I wondered if it was being sent as an accommodation, but they got the right thing to me shortly thereafter, without waiting to get the incorrect product back which I appreciate.

Very good product medium hold with shine style

Great hold, easy to apply nice scent although I prefer the old Bay Rum scent. The only problem I had with this product is that it is not a travel friendly, had to leave it at the airport due to its size.

Claims to have a high hold but it doesn’t do anything for my hair. After application, I had a lot of random strains of hair flaying about, which wee caused by this hair product.
