Retinol Gel 0.1% with Vitamin A, Lightweight Night Serum for Skin Texture & Smooth-Looking Skin, 20 g

The side effects are widely known, and very commonly experienced - namely: 1) peeling, 2) redness, 3) heightened sensitivity/reactivity to other serums/creams/topical products, 4) increased vulnerability to sunburn. To lessen side effects - and perhaps avoid them altogether: 1) Start with 0.025% gel. Once that tube is empty, graduate to using the 0.050% formula. After that tube is finished, THEN use this gel, with the 0.1% strength. 2) Start off using the gel once every 3 days, for 2 weeks. On the third & fourth weeks, increase your usage to every other night. Finally, at Week 5, you can begin to apply nightly. 3) The Sandwich Method: layer this gel as the "meat" between "bread slice" layers of lotion. (Meaning - apply lotion; once the lotion has been absorbed, apply this gel; after the gel has dried down/absorbed, apply another layer of lotion over top as your final layer.) Worth Noting: the 1st layer of lotion acts as a barrier between the skin and the gel; while this is helpful for those who are new or especially sensitive to the gel, it also reduces the efficacy of the gel overall. Maximum efficacy/impact is achieved when there are as few barriers as possible between the gel, and your skin. 4) Be mindful of the products/active ingredients that you are using prior to, simultaneously with, and after using of this gel. Direct acids, vitamin C, and certain peptides are just some of the ingredients that are known to react badly with this gel; that doesn't necessarily mean that you cant use them at all - you might be able to use some in the mornings, washing them off before using this gel the same night. Or, you might have to trade off certain days (i.e. this gel on Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun, and the other product on Tue/Thu/Sat.) Never combine this gel with the use of other retinol products in any part of your routine; and while you may use direct acids and vitamin C in the same routine, you should never use them immediately before/after using this gel. 5) NEVER EVER leave the gel on the next day/ALWAYS, ALWAYS wash the gel off of your skin the next morning (i recommend a double cleanse, to be thorough) - and ALWAYS, ALWAYS apply 30-50SPF sunscreen first thing after washing your face (even if you don't plan to leave the house, even if you won't be spending time in the sun). Ask 100 estethicians & dermatologists what they would use if they could choose only 1 product to use for the rest of their lives --- 100 of them would choose sunscreen, guaranteed. The first line of defense against acne? Sunscreen. The first point of attack in those fighting flaky dry spots & tightness? The sun. The primary strategy in combatting dark spots? SPF. The first course of action in wrinkle prevention & elasticity loss? You guessed it: Sunscreen. As one dermatologist put it (paraphrasing), "Sun damage is a major contributor - and often THE root cause - of pretty much every skin concern you could imagine... If it has to do with the skin, then chances are, sunscreen treats it - if not entirely, then at least in part." Retinoids dramatically increase a person's susceptibility to sunburn/sun damage - *all* retinoids - but ESPECIALLY the kind that are found in this gel. This is why it's so important to wash it off the all off (though it still impacts your skin regardless, even after it's been washed off entirely)... SO, while applying sunscreen will always be the absolute best thing that you can do for your skin - this is especially the case when using this gel. I cannot stress this enough!

I love this product. I’m on my fifth tube. It takes a very little, but it does so much better than written. I highly recommend it and the price is great.

This product is amazing with anti aging. My skin peel every other day when my skin cell die and need to be removed. That is so normal. I am 52 and people always guess me that I am in my early 30 or late 20. I been on this product for almost 25 years. Be patient and understand how to used the product and trust the product and you will get there.

Years ago I used prescription retinol and was started on 0.25 then went up to 0.50 as per my doctor. I wasn't sure if this 0.1 would be strong but it is and you need to follow the directions I have wrinkles under my lips and on my forehead I only used a small amount for two days and I have tolerant skin and I am peeling this is very potent so I will not use again for several days please don't use this close to the eyes and I even recommend using a washcloth to remove before washing the face. I have since ordered the 0.50 and will order the 0.25 to start slow and I highly recommend this if you have never used this product before. It is a good product just build up tolerance.

I have used this exact gel for over 10 years. I used to have to purchase it outside of the USA. But things changed with purchasing outside the USA several years ago and it was so difficult to get my card to work because of all the verification steps. A big pain in the butt and I still wasn't able to purchase it because it just wouldn't work. So I had to quit buying it. I was forced to use another product that I could get in the USA with a prescription, and that product isn't near as good. And let me tell you, I used to pay A LOT of money when I could buy this exact product back when I could get it. No kidding, $120.00-160.00 per tube - EXACT SAME PRODUCT, SAME STRENGTH. So when I saw this on Amazon back in November '24, I about flipped out I was so excited. I immediately ordered 4 tubes. My first order never arrived, I wasn't charged so I cancelled the order after quite some time. It happens. So in March 2025, I tried again. This time, it got the product. Why you WANT THIS PRODUCT. There is nothing like it OTC that I've tried in my last 20 years of fighting wrinkles. My deep wrinkles have faded a great deal fairly well and quickly, in a matter of weeks. Fine lines fade quickly too but the deep wrinkles at the corners and under my lower lip were pretty deep. I still have them but not at all to the degree I did before using this. I only use a tiny bit every few days, like 1/4th a pea size for my whole area I was treating. Never more than a pea size for my whole face, which is rare because I spot treated for the most part. If you use this too often, you will have constantly peeling and red skin. Use on clean, dry skin and apply early before going to bed so it has time to soak in and not wipe off on your pillow. KEEP AWAY from eyes, eyelids and lips. Use a light moisturizer on top of this product. I don't wash my face the next day. I just wipe with a warm rag around my eyes and then apply a good moisturizer or face cream. I don't wear makeup on my skin either so I don't know how it works under makeup. KEEP OUT OF THE SUN. I'm not even talking about a good sunscreen here. Just completely stay out of the sun and yes, still use your sunscreen products. Your skin is very sensitive with this product, and you don't want to do more damage. This product has a long shelf life and a little goes a long way.

I've only been using it 3 days.But my face is pilling.So i'm not sure if that's what's supposed to happen but maybe I'll give it a few more days and see what's up

Love this product, but you do have to start out using it slowly like one day a week for several weeks then go to two days a week for several weeks and keep working until you get up to seven days. It’s pretty strong and it does what it’s supposed to.
