Q: Hello. Could this be used to attach a pedestal sink bowl to the pedestal base? I'd like to also seal the base to the tile floor. Thanks

I believe it is used for window glazing. It was used it in specialized windows in bathroom setting. It 100% silicone, should work like other silicone's as a sealer. The label has "structural" high strength, 25% movement capacity. I have used it on dark Granite as sealer for the side section to the bottom, base granite. I am not sure how it works as strong adhesive. You can try to contact GE.

Q: What sort of expiration date is on these tubes? I understand that GE has not manufactured this stuff in years, so where does this come from?

I bought and used Ultra Glaze about 8 years ago, using fresh made material. U.G. Has a limited shelf life of one year. Do not know who makes a comparable high quality sealing in 2018. T.L.

Q: Will this product work to seal glass to teak wood? My boat hatches are teak and are notched to accept the glass. I am told that teak is an oily wood

I have teak hatches that I did a year ago. They are slightly curved and they are still perfect. Even with the pressure of the curve.

Q: Does this work with polycarbonate?

we used this for our sail yacht hatches. we used cast acrylic as glass and rubbed the adhesive onto the acrylic and the aluminum hatch before assembling. else it did not adhere good. it do not adhere as good as the original adhesive from Lewmar. that was 10 times better. but that is a two component structual silicon which is only sold in barrels. next time i would use sixaflex silicone with primer. presumably better. we had freshly anodized aluminum, and untuched acrylic, so the surfaces was 100% clean.
