works first time with matter on home assistant. Will be buying more. Have tested on kettle for last few months and doesn't get hot under such a heavy load.

work very well great showing how much power the item you have plugged in is using easy to connect to alexa fast conection and responce I did have one prob with one plug after a power cut it would not reconnect i sent a email to Meross support and got a responce with in a couple of hours and had the problum sorted and the plug working again very happy with the suport i recived from them

So initially I had some problems. Trying to connect to Apple HomeKit was challenging to say the least. I had one plug connect straight away but the other three just would not pair to Apple Home. In the end, I installed the Meross app and found that the three plugs that weren’t connecting were due a firmware upgrade. I upgraded the firmware for each and all three then connected to Apple Home.. I did have to switch the plugs off and switch on the back on for them to pair successfully. So it’s critical that you install the app to make sure that the firmware for each plug is up-to-date and ensure that when using your iPad or iPhone that your devices are on the 2.4 GHz network and not 5 GHz. The simplest way is to disable 5 GHz and then you can reenable 5 GHz once you have got the plug successfully paired.

These are my 4th or 5th set of Meross plugs, but they refused to connect to my wifi. I tried disconnecting the 5Ghz channels, rebooting phone and router but with no success. I would have contacted Meross but there is no UK support service, however I did contact my broadband supplier EE who conducted several test and found no issues. As a final test I ordered a pair of Tapo P100 plugs which connected first time in less than 30 seconds. Unfortunately when I went to to return the Meross plugs I had missed the return date by 2 days! Whilst I am already invested in Meross plugs I will start the process of swapping them out for Tapo plugs which appear more reliable not to mention Tapo also have a UK customer service contact number although I haven't needed to contact them yet. I felt very bad about leaving a negative review, so am compelled to provide an update - after another few weeks I tried to connect the plugs again and to my surprise they just connected first time without any issue! I'm not sure what if anything has changed, but just very happy they are all now working. Upgrading my review to 4 stars.

Apprehensive getting these because of some of the reviews saying fiddly to connect. I wasn’t sure if it was because they were ‘matter’ enabled’. I would advise to do the following in the following order. Add to your meross app first. Then simply ask Alexa to discover new devices. I added them to Alexa first and hit a headache. Instructions should be better. When up and running I can say meross has never let me down. By far one of the best WiFi plug manufactures out there. They are great value for money and well made. Not too bulky and perfect. Solved what I wanted them for!

Brilliant smart plugs that work well with Apple Home. Ignore the reviews that say they don’t work - they do. Some people fail to grasp simple setups! Open Home, press + - add socket, Scan QR or type code, plug in and that’s it! Simples.
