My go-to sketchbook now
My go-to sketch book. Paper is thick enough for drawing-- I rarely use wet mediums in sketchbooks, so I can't give a good appraisal about how this paper will stand it. But my friend does successful, expressionistic ink washes in one and looks like has no issues with buckling, running, or breaking up. The paper is very good to excellent quality and there are a lot of pages. A popular rival does pads with heavier paper, but for my purposes, it was worth the trade-off to switch to these: Also a lot fewer pages due to thickness of rival paper. The bookmark and elastic closure are very useful and practical. I wouldn't go back to pads without them. You can even tuck a pencil under the elastic at the top, so it's always handy when you get sudden ideas. And importantly DURABILITY! The popular in UK rival pad's covers wear out in your bag if you carry your pad everywhere with you (like you should)-- because that product's covers are inferior: the spine falls off... the edges wear out and I end up having to gaffa tape them. These Talens pads have no issues because the covers are superior quality.. Also note, the rival has stiff covers... which is marginally better. Talens has softer, but firm enough covers. Also the thicker pages in the rival don't want to lie flat when you're working... The thinner Talens' pages are much easier to subdue, so they don't keep springing up at you when you're drawing. Great value- practical, durable, a pleasure to work in.

Perfect for me
Excellent quality cream coloured paper, an inbuilt elastic band to keep it shut and the very small pocket size was just what I was looking for.

Affordable and good quality
The paper quality is actually amazing for sketching out my random work. The pages are super thick so no bleeding through. For the price it is it’s probably the best sketch book I’ve tried.

My favourite sketchbook
This is my go to sketchbook. The paper is a off white cream colour and is smooth, most art material won’t bleed through unless you’re using stuff like ink or markers as the paper is thin but I would still recommend this sketchbook, sketchbook are supposed to be messy .

Would buy again
Nice little sketchbook to carry around. Works best for pencil/ fineliner sketches but I have used watercolours just fine. If you plan to use acrylic/ oil, I'd suggest using gesso and having something between the pages.

Mi libreta favorita para dibujar, el papel es grueso y no se transparenta, aguanta bien tinta y un poco de acuarela.
