I bought this fountain for my desk. I work with stressed students and staff in a high school. They find it relaxing and mesmerizing. At first I couldn't hear a trickle. After experimenting with higher water levels, I got a soft-but audible trickle. Also, that cut down on the pump hum (which is barely noticeable anyway). The piece has a nice look and feel. Definitely not cheap or "cheezy" looking. Great for the price. One thing to note is, if it stops pumping, the water has probably evaporated and needs a bit more. Also, an off/on switch would have been convenient-but not a big deal for me. So glad to share my positive experience!

It is pretty to look at. I like the light. But when I plug it in, it spurts out a shot of water onto the table. I wish it made more of a fountain sound, too. And I wish it would shut itself off when it runs out of water like diffusers do. I'll look for a different fountain next time around.

This was a Christmas gift. After setting it up and testing it out, I was pleased. The next morning I woke up to find that all the water leaked out from some crack or something that I didn't see and it ruined the shelf I put it on along with other items near it. Super disappointed and because I threw the box away this item is basically trash.
