VW Camper and Microbus (Shire Library)

I purchased this book but the version I received had a different cover and a publish date of 2011. I have no idea if there are any differences.It is a small book, maybe 6x9 and only 64 pages so I read it in no time. For the size it has a nice history of VW, from the start. The first 15 pages talk mostly about the people that started the line and their ties/inputs into the company products. The next section was of interest to me as it detailed the differences through the model years in both engine and body of the "bus". It also pointed out some differences in European vs US models.There were some nice pictures of the original VW ads which I found interesting from a marketing perspective.I am looking at buying a refurbished camper to drive the US. I am not a mechanic or car enthusiast in general.For the limited space the book did a good job. For me it was too brief and not enough detail and I will donate the book rather than keep it on my shelf. Paper was of good quality, with a bit of sheen

I should have read the details better. This is a very small book that doesn't really have any new information that other, nicer books have. I believe this is print on demand, and I don't feel it is worth the price.

Ideal if you are struggling for what to get a 35+ bloke (actually, he'd like a Leatherman Wave Multitool as well).The artwork and illustrations are spot on, the book is light and breezy, there are some boring/too big books on this.Having seen it in an RHS books shop and leafed through, I Amazoned 2 copies at a very fair price, one for my birthday, and one for a same age mate.Very good.

Bought for my father for Christmas as he worked for Devon Conversions most of his working life. Book covers the lineage of the VW camper excellently. Cracking piece of work

Le livre est pas mal les photos sympathiques mais dommage quand on l'achète qu'il n'est pas précisé qu'il est en ANGLAIS donc pour le comprendre il faut un traducteur avec soi ? je suis déçu et en plus c'était un cadeau à offrir !
