Open Acrylics are slow drying
Open Acrylics are slow drying... this allows you to use acrylics for plein air painting. Smooth and creamy, consistent color...these are very nice, even though they are a little pricey.

A step up from other paint brands
Golden Open is a great product. I have never been a fan of acrylic paints until Open was recommended to me, by one of my college professors. Years later, Open is the only acrylic paint brand I recommend for traditional oil painters or students.

Love these
The Golden Opens are my fave acrylics. They dry more slowly than your typical acrylic paint so you have more time to work with them. The color range offered is great for those who don't want to mix their own colors for any reason. They also mix nicely for those who do.

Mellower than white
Good color to lighten other colors subtly and keep a more mellow (less bright) tone to an overall painting, imo. I have made a similar color combo in the past to do the same thing, but it's always nice to have something set to do the same quickly. At first I only got 1 of them, but then I said something and the store immediately sent me the other one. It's a crazy good deal! Especially for Golden.

Slow drying compared to regular acrylics
These open acrylic paints are terrific. They give you just a bit more time to play with the paint before it sets.

Honestly I love any color by golden open but the opaque colors are the best and this is just that. Great coverage. Great to add for skin tones and other things.
