BESSEY TG7.016+2K Clamp, woodworking, F-style, 2K handle, replaceable pads, 7 In. x 16 In., 1320 lb

Since Wetzler went out of business Bessey is the only new clamps I will buy. Pony/Jorgensen make nice clamps, but I don't like the clutch mechanism on their bar clamps. These things are durable, exert lots of clamping pressure, and have larger threads so you don't have to crank on the handle as much when tightening. I have several sizes of Bessey clamps - Bessey TG7, Bessey TG5 & Bessey TGJ. You can never have too many clamps!

I should have read the description better. I didn’t expect it to as heavy duty as it is. It is large and heavy. I didn’t need the clamping force but needed the reach. I could have used less force. I m keeping them because of the construction and name.

As usual, prouduct is fine,but the special needs folks packing this stuff needs to be supervised closer,

nothing local svailable i needed the depth. so i paid the price! im a Harbor Frright junkie so this had to be great for ME to pony up!!

This review is not criticizing this clamp itself. I am criticizing either Amazon and/or Bessey. I ordered two of these clamps and I received them during the week between Christmas and New Years and one of them was missing the red plastic tip. I tried contacting Amazon about this and they told me to contact Bessey and Bessey has not answered my emails.I decided to wait until after holidays to give Bessey a chance to contact me about this before writing this review.If I don't hear something in the next couple of days, I guess I'll have to send it back.Edit: Bessey finally got back with me. They acknowledged no one was around the office to address my issue during the holidays. They indicated they are in the middle of a inventory of their warehouse and they will send me replacement pads when they are finished. Bessey did say Amazon should have handled this from the beginning as they are the seller, but they will make it right.2nd edit: After almost two months, Bessey sent me the wrong tips. I have given up.Also I should mention the clamps themselves are magnificent. I give them 5 stars.

I was hesitant to buy these, a bit pricey, and didn’t have a specific need in mind; more a case of “when you need ‘em, you need ‘em”. And with a deep reach they have to be exceptionally rugged to be worthwhile. But now that I have a pair, I am using them all the danged time, don’t know how I made do without them. I love the secure six-sided Tradesman searations. Falls into the “buy one cry once” category, these are lifetime tools.

These clamps have plastic handles. The picture and description suggest the old style with wood handles. I was a bit disappointed with that.

I've used several bessey bar clamps and they always performed very well.

These are heavy clamps. Great clamping pressure.
