The Trinity Knot is a Celtic symbol associated to several different meanings. In the Celtic culture, it was believed that the most important things in life come in sets of three (like the three domains or the three stages of a woman's life), and so each end of the knot would represent one side of each of these important trios. The Shamrock, probably the best known Irish symbol of all, is a three-leafed sprig used by Saint Patrick to illustrate the holy trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This pendant is made by a manufacturer of Celtic and Irish jewellery, the family owned company Solvar. Made from Hallmarked Sterling Silver with an enamel coloured centre, it is a lovely and significant gift.
