Works great for growing sweet potatoes!
This was my first year growing sweet potatoes from slips. Apparently sweet potatoes grow best in nitrogen depleted soil so they can focus energy on root growth (i.e., the sweet potato itself, not the greens). I didnโt notice any smell to this bone meal. I applied 2 tablespoons around each slip at soil level roughly every 2 weeks and watered it in along with 1 tbsp all purpose fertilizer. I noticed beautiful sweet potato flower blooms that attracted all kinds of pollinators to my garden! The bees loved it! For my first year, Iโm really happy with my harvest!I chose this specific bone meal product since the brand is well-known to me. Great quality, also it just happened to be a reasonable price. Win-win. I still have some left over for next yearโs planting.

Great Organic Product at a Good Price.
Bone meal is a great fertilizer. It helps with root growth for new plants and it is excellent for planting bulbs. You just add a little bit to the hole you dig and put the bulb, root side down, right on top and fill the hole with soil. It works like magic.I especially love this bone meal because it is organic. If you use it for edibles you will not have chemicals inside your plants which eventually end up in your body. Great product and good price.
