Amma, Tell Me About Krishna! Paperback – August 6, 2012

I was looking for some books about Hinduism for my 3 year old and couldn't find them anywhere. The traditional Amar Chitra kathas seemed a little too gory and grown up for a toddler. After doing some research online, I came across this and loved it. It's easy to understand and the pictures are great. I have the Diwali one as well. I have recommended these to some other friends of mine as well.

just LOVE this book, Bhakti mathur has done a great job keeping it in poem-like verses yet easy and simple to understand.my son loves it as well for the vibrant colors and he loves to pick out Krishna in each page :) will be buying the Hanuman one next in the series...i wish the books were offered in hardcover and also in sets.

Great pics. Story was well told. Some words ( english) we're too difficult for young kids. The story itself was hard for my little kids( Kansa killing the babies part), but that was the reality of the story after all

Great illustrations, stylized, colorful, & engaging. Even in India, we had a difficult time finding books that were written in a way that was tangible for our 1st grader. Love the approach to telling these stories, both in words & pictures!

I got this for myself as I'm a new beginner to Hinduism. Loved it and some of the illustrations will remain with me always: especially the baby Krishna with his radiant blue light and smiling eyes.

A nice story book to learn about Indian culture. I enjoy reading it every night to my daughter. Great book.

Illustrations are so bad. All the characters look the same. Stories are just pedantic. Definitely cannot compare to my grandmamas stories.
