Review: Smooth operation - Installation was done by a highly skilled finish carpenter. Took him a few hours to prep the door, etc. Works like a charm - exactly what I was seeking. It is smooth and quiet - no squeaks, is self closing and has a hold open at 90 and 105. Have only had it for a week, so longevity remains to be seen, but it functions well. About 1000 times better than those squeaky spring hinge pivots, but also much more difficult to install.

Installation was done by a highly skilled finish carpenter. Took him a few hours to prep the door, etc. Works like a charm - exactly what I was seeking. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ VERY difficult install but worth it

Extremely challenging install. I knew that going in and so the install didn’t influence my rating. But let me tell you. It was a whole week of researching and planning the measurements, and then 3 full days actually installing. I’m not professional, just a DIYer with an engineering degree and a lot of time and energy for house work. But if you don’t own basic woodworking tools and have experience with woodworking, you’ll definitely need a contractor. That being said, here’s my rating breakdown: 5 for looks. It’s flush with the door and looks sleek. 3 for noise, it’s a little clunky sounding, but not the end of the world. 5 for functionality. Works exactly as described. Overall, really happy with the purchase and proud I was able to install it myself.
