Turn It Up and Lay It Down: Double Pedal Metal (Book & CD)

I have been looking for some decent backing tracks to play along to for a while, as i have no desire to be in a band at the moment i have been buying different 'play-alongs' just to try out.And to be honest, for me, this isnt that great.I dont really know what it is meant to be?I dont see it really as an 'improvement' book and found the songs quite un-challenging.The songs themselves are made up pretty much of one riff that is played for the duration of the track, which means no changes and does get a bit boring after a few minutes.On the other hand, im sure if you are new to drums and double pedal and just want to get the basics down you may find it interesting to work through.But it wont be a book that you could refer back to as you progress on the kit.
