No Problems Since Taking These
Oh AZO, how I love thee? Let me count the ways...I began taking these wonderful little tablets when I was in the torturous dungeon of a UTI. These lifesavers noticeably shortened the length of my suffering, and I have continued taking them every day as a preventive regimen. After two years of daily use, I haven't had a single UTI. All hail the power of the cranberry! The tablets are very easy to take. They're not nearly as large as the monstrous vitamin that we have all come to dread, and there is no negative taste at all. They're round... I guess you could say about the size of an actual cranberry except that they're flat instead of spherical. For my fellow residents of Planet Vegetarian/Vegan, these ARE safe. No gelatin, no milk, no eggs. For those with allergies, they ARE gluten-free. However, the label does mention that they may contain traces of soy. UPDATE: I have been informed that these contain carmine, which comes from a beetle. So these can't be considered completely vegetarian/vegan. Make your decision as you see fit. Check out Indynicm's comment for more details (and thank you, Indynicm, for the info).Directions say to take two tablets daily or four for maximum protection. I've always taken only two and have never had any problems. There aren't any indications regarding the need to take with or without food; however, I've always taken them with a meal just in case there might be a risk of an upset tum-tum.Added plus: they have 100% of your daily Vitamin C. They do have a little calcium and phosphorus, but the actual levels are low enough that they're not anything worth writing home about.Oh yes, these will do the trick. Love, love, love!

It's working!
UPDATE 12/2/2011: I took this for while and then stopped. Problems returned worse than ever. Started taking them again and problems were not going away. Went to the doctor, who told me not to take these because they can often make the symptoms worse, especially if you don't keep taking them FOREVER. Just be aware that this is not a cure all.*****I had begun to notice bladder symptoms in the last year - urgency, slightly uncomfortable and feeling like I had a bladder infection. The doctor put me on meds a couple times, and told me I need to drink more water. But the symptoms persisted off & on. A friend recommended Azo cranberry so I've been using them for about a week now. I realized this morning that the discomfort and urgency are gone. Great product!

Chronic UTI sufferer now celebrating anniversaries without UTIs - other brands of pills didn't work!
I used to get a UTI pretty much every single month. I started taking Azo Cranberry pills daily and eventually I was able to celebrate more than one anniversary of being UTI-free. For whatever reason, it's specific to the Azo brand. These are expensive, so I decided to try other cranberry pills to save money, but within a week or two I started to feel "twingy" so I hurried to get back on the Azo pills.Recently, they've silently changed how much cranberry formula is in each pill, which is really annoying as it means I have to take twice as much as before. This knocks a star off, but it's still the only brand of cranberry pill I will trust to keep UTIs away. For anyone who's ever had one, you know how miserable they are. And how they usually strike on Sunday morning at 4am. Prevention is better than any treatment any day of the week.(Someone mentioned Cystex for those times you're at risk or feeling one coming on - I second that!! Also, someone ELSE mentioned to get your behind straight to the doctor if your back hurts or you have a fever or chills. I also second THAT.)I'd give that last star back if they upped the concentration of cranberry in each tablet, but as it is, I will never stop taking these, ever. It doesn't matter how many years it's been since I've had a UTI. It's worth every penny to keep buying these and making sure I /stay/ UTI-free.

beaware
This is a ok-ish alternate to the sweetened cranberry juices that can further increase the bacteria however beaware that it causes constipation and when you are constipated the number of bacteria deposited around 'down there ' increases, probably because dry hard stools don't wipe away cleanly. About two thirds of the population will develop diverticular disease of the bowel because of longstanding constipation, so even if you are regular, you may be better off by increasing your fibre intake.I wil try it for one more week and than just give up cuz as much as i wana have a healthy 'down there', i cant deal with constipation on a regular basis!

Savior
I almost died from a septic blood infection that was the result of an kidney infection I didn't know I had 10ish years ago (the university thought I was having an allergic reaction to a shot until I got a 106.5 fever). Since then I have gotten UTIs 6 plus times a year. A friend told me about AZO, I thought it would be a crock honestly. I bought this when we were moving and felt the "UTI twinge" start and knew I wouldn't have health insurance in my new local for a while... SURPRISE!!!! It worked like a charm. I've now been taking this daily for a year and for the first time in over a decade, haven't had a single UTI. Heck my dog got a UTI (he's a walking vet bill and got infected via nuetering) and I gave him one of these a day after the THIRD round antibiotics kicked in and he's six months with no issues...and amazingly it's helped his allergy problems too.
