Shielded RJ45 Cat6A Cat7 Pass Through connectors - 3 Prong 8P8C 50U Gold Plated 2-Piece Pass-Through Modular Data Plug for FTP/STP Cable & Solid Wire (30 Pack)

I don't know what everyone is going on about. These work perfectly. I'm using THICK STP (shielded twisted pair) 23awg Cat 6a cable with these. They work great. You HAVE to know what you're doing though. You need to match up the zig-zag pattern of the guide with the connector. You HAVE to use some pliers to gently squish the end of your cable (where the shroud starts) down before you can feed it into the connector. If you need to make a cable/connector and you have a thicker cable, these are perfect. They are not very easy to use, especially with the fine cat7 type cable, with very soft filaments, however, they are the best solution available, they were the only ones with which we could crimp this type of cable.

I wanted to like these very much because they are very well built. Love the shielding and the cable support. The connectors are solid. The problem lays with the guide and the crimp prongs themselves. The guide slots are too loose, so when you try to push the wires through the upper and lower level holes, the guide gets pushed back as it's being pushed into the connector. It took many multiple attempts to make a positive connection on both sides of the cat7 to make one good cable. I ended up giving up using these in favor of some older style RJ45 connectors I had, with zero failures after.If the tolerances are tightened up a bit this could be really good. Until then, maybe hold off.

I have bought two packs of these connectors and both times had the same garbage results. I used multiple different quality cat 6A and cat 7 cables from reputable brands with specs that match the alleged acceptable specs for these connectors. I have a alot of experience making patch cables so I am very careful to go through the proper cable prep and crimping process. I would always get very inconsistent crimping results with the issue always being a bad connection to conductors 1 & 2 (as seen in the picture on my cable tester). I know it's these connectors that are no good and not the cable because I have tried multiple cables with the same results. These connectors have been nothing but headache. Please save your self the stress and stay clear of these.

We had cat7 installed in the office and I overed few different tips and this was the only that worked. However, it is still tight for you to get the cables pass through.
