Best for Bright Light Situations
I got this to test out as I work online and have a lot of virtual meetings. I currently use a 1080 camera and I didn't notice a big difference between the video quality of the two cameras. I am sure there is one it just isn't apparent for my purposes. That being said it is way better than my built in camera on my laptop. My current set up doesn't have great options for how to mount this camera. I thought it might work with some of my existing equipment but it did not and my table is too low to place the camera on the table. If this were a camera I was enamored with I would figure out where to put it or order something that would help keep this at an ideal angle. However it also didn't work with my lighting set up. I currently have a dedicated light source designed for a laptop set up and find it fixes a lot of my lighting issues in virtual meetings. This camera doesn't film well in low light settings but also struggles with medium light settings. I have to raise the brightness of my lighting system to the point it hurts my eyes before this camera produced a decently video quality. It seems to shine in harsh excessive light situations. I also struggled to get the camera to be recognized by my computer. On Zoom the camera would drop off as an available video source and then reappear. Unplugging the camera and plugging it back in solves this 90% of the time but it will also randomly stop working when it is plugged in. If I needed a 4K camera I could problem solve around some of these issues but ultimately I don't see much of a difference between this one and my current camera to I don't feel like trying to problem solve around its issues.
