Good small parts containers

I do lots of needlework. After I buy a skein of embroidery floss, I wrap it onto a bobbin. I have several large versions of boxes like these that I use to store all of my floss in. But when I'm working on an individual needlework project, I need something much smaller to keep my floss handy and easy to travel with. Years ago I bought some "mini floss organizers" by Darice. They are the perfect floss organizers for individual projects. That company has since gone out of business and, of course, I need a few more boxes. After taking some time looking at various options, I finally found these. My bobbins fit just right. I can put about 5 or 6 per compartment. I removed one of the dividers to make a larger compartment to throw my cut off floss ends in (the ORTs). I'm very happy with my purchase!

I used these for tackle box party favors for a fishing themed birthday. They were a bit small but perfect really for the three year olds that received them. I took some of the dividers out to create different size spaces for treats.

I don't like how all inside dividers are removable leaving one large compartment. I would prefer a box with some permanent main dividers.

Nice but smaller than expected. Made it work for what I needed

Unfortunately, this item was not suitable for my intended purpose because I wanted a compartment to span the length of the longer axis (i.e. parallel to the hinge). There are two dividers that span the entire short axis of the box, dividing it into three compartments. Three smaller dividers can be inserted to bisect those compartments as needed.1 | 2 | 34 | 5 | 6The short dividers would be inserted between 1 and 4, 2 and 5, 3 and 6.I wanted a single large compartment including (1 2 3) or (4 5 6), and this cannot be done.The box was sturdy and well-constructed, so I will give it a 5 star rating even though I couldn't use it.

These are very economical boxes for small items. The removable dividers allow for different length items. I find the closures easier to open and close than similar storage boxes.

I really like these containers. They are great for organizing, and stackable.
