Solid watch
What a great watch! The sale price was just perfect, but that's temporary.Long battery life. Lightweight but durable construction. The screen brightness was solid for my use up on the mountains. No complaints about visibility with the OLED screen. No issues with comfort on long treks or sleep. The built-in light is a great feature. Solid accuracy for tracking for someone that isn't looking for precision metrics for performance, but still pretty solid for that.Coming from a Galaxy Watch 5, total upgrade. The software does feel clunky, but the physical use is great once you've adjusted. I did miss the touch screen function so I upgrade from this watch to the Epix Pro Gen 2 (on sale at $500 even if being discontinued). If I wasn't looking for a touch screen, I would totally have stuck with this watch.Didn't care for looking for the solar function much since mat of my outings are less than 24 hours. Longest trek so far was about 13 hours with no activity pausing or recharging. Came out with about 66% battery from full.

Very useful for outdoor activities and those that value battery life
I will say to start off, I'm coming from a different watch, the Pixel Watch 4 LTE. I find the Garmin to be more useful outdoors. Though it lacks a touchscreen, I got used to the button interface within a week, and find it very straightforward. Buttons have different uses, such as a quick press, double press and long press. Menus are well laid out. The torch (flashlight) built in is very useful, and you need to have it to understand how often you'll use it once you do. The battery life is incredible, unlike my previous watch where I am charging it daily, this goes a week easily, with room to spare.I also have an inReach Mini 2, which is one of the reasons I decided to purchase this watch, as it interacts and connects with it. I can start a livetrack session, etc from the watch and not have to touch the inReach Mini 2. I find the tracking to seem more accurate vs my previous watch, and the Garmin apps are very well thought out, without being ad-laden.I don't see a lot of people out there with these devices, but I will say that it is well thought out, of good quality and perfect for outdoor use. If you like customization and having to learn a little about your device daily, this is for you.

FANTASTIC!
Have never had a smart watch. Wanted a watch to keep track of heart rate etc as I train. It does all that very well. Not having a touch screen was a big attraction and I am glad I went Instinct 3. And the battery is amazing. Especially when compared to SO’s iwatch battery. I think I would have been content with the solar but I like the color of the AMOLED display.

Excellent device! Global firmware now supports Chinese seamlessly
I recently purchased this Instinct 3 AMOLED from Amazon, and I'm very impressed with the performance. I was initially concerned about the regional versioning issues that were common with older Garmin models, specifically regarding the lack of Chinese character support for non-Asian versions. However, I can confirm that on this latest generation, the firmware is essentially global. Upon setting up the device and syncing it with Garmin Express, it handles Chinese characters (such as those in notifications from LINE or WhatsApp) perfectly without needing a specific 'APAC' version. The device is now much more user-friendly for international users who require multi-language display support. If you are hesitating due to language concerns, rest assured that the latest firmware updates have made regional differences in language display a thing of the past. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a powerful, data-driven sports watch.

Outstanding replacement for my Samsung 5Watch Pro.
If you are thinking of exiting the Samsung Watch Eco System, this is your sign. I have had the Instict 3 AMOLED for several weeks now. Prior to this I have always had a Samsung watch (since 2015). I have grown tired of constantly watching my battery and having to charge at inconvenent times. I started looking at Garmin a bit ago, but it was always far too expensive. Enter the Instict 3. I puchased it not too long after its release and have found it to be outstanding... First off, the battery lasts 18 freaking days. As a person who loves data, and doesn't needs worthless apps and features that suck at executing on a tiny sreen, this has proven to be great. This watch has full color, plentiful watch faces, and features out the nose. All the basics of course, but more accessible and accurate GPS, altimeter, and health features. The morning health report, stress analsysis, and body battery scratch my data nerd itch, while all the typical smart watch features like text and email alerts, step counter, and fitness tracking feel like they are right on top and ready for interface. There is one thing though, that you have to get used to. THIS IS NOT A TOUCH SCREEN. It isn't. And, as someone who got used to that over the last 10 years, it took a minute. But no matter how much you think you need it, you don't. No matter how much you fear you won't like it or won't get used to it, you will. In fact, back to 5 buttons and ditching the touchscreen has virtually eliminted accessing apps on accident, starting or stopping processes that I hasn't intended to, and issues with water freaking out the funcitonality. Just take a minute to read the instructions and learn your buttons and your menus. Then... GIVE IT A MINUTE. The first 24 hours are a little freaky. The next 24 are a little annoying. After that, you miss it from time to time, but not enough to give up what you gain. Also, can we talk about the built in flashlight? It sounds so hokey, and I thought it was going to be dumb. But it is fantastic. I use it ALL THE TIME. Its a bright little bit of happiness. A double press on the watch has helped me find keys, look for lost items in dark places, saved me while camping, and allows me to find things when I am trying not to wake my my wife. It's a crazy must have that I didn't know I needed. I could keep going. But I have things to do. If you are on the fence, just do it. You won't regret it.

I couldn’t be happier
I know there’s been a lot of debate around the Instinct 3 — from the lack of maps to the price, and how it stacks up against other models with more advanced features. But personally, I’ve always been a fan of the Instinct 2X Solar — mostly for the rugged looks and the flashlight. I didn’t really mind the monochromatic display, but I always wished for a color one. So the Instinct 3’s color screen was a big win for me.Even without solar charging, the battery life is impressive. Garmin claims 18 days in smartwatch mode, and I’ve been getting around 10–12 days with regular workouts and activities — still very solid.Comfort-wise, I actually found it more wearable than the 2X. It feels lighter, and the 45mm size looks just right on my wrist. I work in construction, so knocking the watch against things is pretty common. I’ve read the screen is tough (and it is), but I still put on a screen protector just in case. That said, it’s taken a few hits and still looks great. The watch faces are fun to mess with, and all the functions are genuinely useful. I use the flashlight almost every night, and the weather + barometer have come in handy on the job. Now, this isn’t the right smartwatch for everyone. I’d definitely recommend doing some research first. For example, I don’t miss the touchscreen at all — in fact, I’ve grown to love the button navigation. I barely need to look at the watch anymore; my muscle memory takes me right where I need to go. The customizable hotkey combos are also a nice touch. One last tip: be sure to get the right size. The 45mm fits me perfectly, but I totally get why someone might prefer the bigger screen on the larger models.

Perfect!
Love the look, perfect size and the battery discharge length is unbelievable. It lasts for weeks not days.

The Ultimate Outdoor Smartwatch!
The Garmin Instinct 3 has completely exceeded my expectations. The AMOLED display is vibrant and easy to read in any lighting condition, and the rugged design with a metal-reinforced bezel gives it a premium, durable feel that’s perfect for outdoor adventures. The built-in flashlight is surprisingly useful, especially during early morning runs or late-night hikes. Battery life is phenomenal—up to 18 days on a single charge is a game-changer for someone who’s always on the move.GPS tracking is fast and accurate, and the watch is packed with features for fitness, health, and navigation. Whether you're hiking, training, or just want a reliable smartwatch with a bold look, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

Great fitness watch
Love this watch, has everything you need. I was looking at the data as I use for running and it has the same run features as the more expensive 265.The torch and redshift actually come in handy too.Battery life is fantastic, getting 2 weeks and that’s also using it for 1-2 hr daily activities

Packed with useful features.
After trying another well-known outdoor watch, I decided to replace it with the Garmin Instinct AMOLED, and I’m delighted that I did. The watch is far more intuitive to use, with clearly thought-out menus and simple button operation that works brilliantly for walking and hiking. The AMOLED display is superb—bright, colourful and exceptionally easy to read in all conditions. The activity tracking has inspired much more confidence, and the data appears both sensible and consistent. Although it needs charging, the battery life is still excellent, lasting around a couple of weeks with my normal use. Overall, this is a rugged, comfortable watch that strikes an excellent balance between outdoor capability and everyday wear. Highly recommended.

Lange gebruikstijd batterij
Lange gebruiksduur batterij, veel opties (deels moet ik nog uitzoeken). Enige minpunt is de handleiding. De uitgebreide gedownload van internet want die zit er niet bij

great overall
I am really enjoying it.Garmin for sure, app is great. This model, depends a lot if you want this bulky sport looking case with a long time battery, or a more discreet one.so my advice, go for a Garmin, and check the model that fits you better, battery, looks, and if touch or Amoled screen.
