This may very well be one of the best products I have ever received. If you have any doubts about buying it, I hope I can convince you.The actual sound quality itself is pretty good. Its not crystal clear, and there's a noticeable noise to the sound, but I wouldnt expect any different for the price. It's slight enough for it to blend into the background of the song, but each tape is going to play different. So it might be worse on some and better on others.The packaging though, whew! I dont really take the time out of my day to inspect the packaging on a product--or honestly notice it in general--but by the sheer quality of what I received, its clear that they obviously care deeply about the customer.Let me show you what I mean.With the Walkman, you recieve:- two batteries- a sealed envelope with a satirical and pleasant comic- a nice and thick paper manual (not just a piece of paper!)- a headphone to USB converter (to transfer tapes to a computer)- and quite possibly the best pair of wired headbuds I've ever had the pleasure of using.And I mean it about the earbuds. The bottom of the heads are magnetic, so they won't tangle. Plus, the earcaps are a maulable foam that'll form to shape your ear (I'm surprised I haven't seen many of these sort of earbuds around, given how comfortable and well-fitting they are). I wish they were a little longer, but they're excellent regardless.The only issue I have with it, is that there isnt a pocket mount or anything of the sort. So unless you have big pockets, its going to be pretty annoying to care it around. Personally, I'm going to be buying a mount for it that I can glue onto the back.Overall, its an incredibly well-rounded product and I'll definitely be getting a good amount of use out of this.

I bought this because it was decently well priced and I wanted to be able to record my own music onto tapes and play it back, and so far it’s been very promising- decent audio recording and playback. The only thing I’ve noticed so far is there’s a sort of high pitched whine and buzzing, but it’s mostly outweighed by the music. The included earbuds are also SUPER nice- they’re made of aluminum and are magnetic and sound great. I’ll update this if anything changes, but so far it’s been pretty solid about 4 days in.EDIT #1I’m about a week and a half in and I’ve used actually professionally recorded tapes now, of which do not produce a loud buzzing on the player- I’m guessing the write heads are just low quality. If you have tapes from large manufacturers or professional equipment it’ll sound amazing

I bought this little tape player about a year ago mostly because I wanted a phone detox but still wanted to listen to music at my office job. Making a mix tape of modern songs was half the fun of listening to cassette tapes but I will say this little guy does earnestly have some awesome playback. It's also small enough that it fits in a bag or even a larger jacket pocket no problem. For the most part I'd say it's pretty sturdy too. I wouldn't ever recommend you do a drop test or something but it's been knocked off my desk a couple times and it's still kept going. It's honestly incredibly easy to use too. You get a feel for all the buttons since the play button and stop are different sizes and shapes so I had no problem stopping music to answer a call or reply to a question and restarting my music without issue. I was honestly really surprised by the packaged in headphones too. Typically included headphones offer garbage audio and as an audiophile I figured I'd just toss em out, but honestly in a pinch they're not bad at all. I'd never choose them over a good pair of open back backs, but they punch above their weight class. They're also magnetic so the ends of buds snap together so they don't get tangled.

It’s not like monaural sound is bad, but I set my expectations too high for expecting stereo. Warning: The sound output is MONO ONLY!

I bought this product as someone who was born right after the cassette era but is fascinated by them. I wanted to record some mixtapes just for fun, but wasn't ready to drop hundreds of dollars on a deck that I might only use a few times. This walkman is easy to use and understand, and I was also able to play some old cassette tapes that belong to my parents. It feels pretty sturdy and doesn't seem like it'll break easily. I've been recording through an aux cable off my computer and haven't tested the internal microphone, but so far the quality I'm getting is right about what I'd expect off a cassette tape, which is what I was hoping for. I'd definitely suggest this product for anyone interested in recording or playing cassettes, but who isn't ready or able to spend hundreds on a full deck.

Bought these to record Bible and bedtime stories for my grandchildren, and it works great.Sturdy, good sound, have not tried radio but would recommend.Be blessed and grateful!!!!

It's a great product but I feel like it is not super well made and would break really easily if dropped on the ground. I think it's a little expensive for the product not to have great quality, but I might be wrong. It functions really well and the sound quality is great. I do think it is a little bit bulky but very sleek and looks great. The recording features are good too and is compatible to record with a computer well.

I was very happy,That the cassette player, Finally came,But for some reason,The batteries don't Fit where they are suppose to go, I am bringing the cassette player with me to town and I have to figure out,How to put the 2 Batteries in...Still VERY Good item.

veramente eccellente per ciò che ci devo fare.. ho delle cassette che vorrei riversare su file audio.. con questo sono riuscito alla perfezione, ottenendo un ottima qualità audio nonostante fosse un apparecchio a pile. veramente soddisfatto.. un ricordo storico! non ho ancora provato come registra perché per ora l'ho preso come riproduttore audio di cassette veramente preistoriche di svariati anni fa! e sembra andar bene!
