Fantastic pin pointer. Had no issues and does what it’s supposed to do. This is a high quality pin pointer. Far from junk and its performance is on par with higher priced units. I purchased to locate set screws that I lost in the dirt for my solar panel array and found them in 5 minutes. A new addition to my tool box now.

The pinpointer works as expected. Very accurate and saves time locating objects. I bought this because it was rechargeable and glad I did. The detector holder mount has its pros and cons. I have enough on my belt so having the pinpointer on the metal detector is handy. The holder holds the pinpointer firmly so it’s not going to fall out. That’s both good and bad. It’s great when transporting you always know that it’s with the detector. But while detecting it’s hard to pull it out and you have to push hard to put it back. So it’s not going to fall out and get lost. This is not a game breaker I just carry it in my hand while detecting so I’m ready to pinpoint a target. I highly recommend this and it doesn’t break the bank when starting out metal detecting.

This metal detector works great! We took it to our family cabin and found all kinds of old items in the sand near the lake, even a few coins! We were able to use it in the water as well. It is easy to use and our kids are able to use it independently. Very happy we chose this product.

I lost all of my equipment in a house fire. When it was time to replace my pinpointer I decided not to get another orange $20 special. Looking here on Amazon, i scaned the ratings and reviews and chose the Hazlewolke Pinpointer. It wasn't $20 but it had features that put it out in front of others that were more expensive like Garrett and Minelab pinpointers. My pros: Waterproof to 10' and that should be sufficient for creek beds or sandy beaches where a splash or two won't damage it. Rechargeable with the included USB C cable in a USB chargeing port. It has the feel of quality and substance at 11 oz. It has a built in LED light with 5 brightness levels. I don't detect at night but in an overly shady area it should help with seeing down in a hole. The LCD display is not huge but it is easy to read the 3 user controlled settings and charge level. Others have mentioned the two buttons used for On/Off and Mode changing are a little stiff and I concur that they are but not to the level that they are bothersome. It also comes equipped with a lanyard, pouch and a rubber shaft mount for easy storage. It can't be stored in there when it's turned on. It senses the metal shaft. My first time turning it on was startling because it sensed my wedding ring immediately and gave me a strong and surpriseing vibration responce. The sound is also strong and noticeable. I haven't put it to a daylong test yet but the short outings have made it a pleasure to use. The modes and sensitivity are adjustable but I haven't had any ground interference to warrant me taking it off the Max setting. My only con if it is a con, is stiffness of the buttons which should soften after some good detecting outings. Overall , I give it a 5 star rating because I can't give it a 4.5 star. The price is acceptable because of the flexibility of controlling all aspects of detection to pinpoint the treasures I seek. I think you will find it a great value for the extra money.

Admittedly, I only have my old Ace 12v battery pinpointer to compare this to, but this one seems more like a $200 pinpointer in comparison. Just incredible! So far it's been completely waterproof, the battery life is exceptional, easy to recharge, and just plain works. I even used to find a tiny screw from some Christmas decorations that I lost in the grass sod. A couple of swipes of the area with this and bingo! Screw found!

I got 2 of these and neither one worked. Got one didn't charge or turn on, then the replacement had the same problem. Quality control is not there.
