Great entry to mid level solar kit
Renogy, the name in serious solar! Renogy was my gateway into hobby solar. I started with this 400 watt kit as an entry level, but it seriously was more than I expected. My batteries charge quickly and are very happy. It's currently deployed in a garden shed for tool battery charging and for exterior lights. Installation was easy. Setup was a breeze. The app leaves a little more to be desired but it's informative and easy to use. The built in functionality will keep you engaged. With little sun exposure on cloudy days, these small panels are rocking and still providing enough amps to keep the batteries happy. The cables included in this kit are of high quality. Mounting the controller was easy. The kit came with temp sensor and Bluetooth module which is great. When the panels are completely exposed to the sun, I taken my batteries from nearly dead to full charge in a few hours while using them for gardening. If you're looking for a hobby system for home use, a small system for off-grid applications, look no further! This is your last stop.

Excellent starter setup for off-grid solar, with a caveat
Ok, so first - I’ve set up several similar solar panel configurations over the years, often using all the same components that are now available in this kit.Second, this is the best bank for your buck I’ve found anywhere. Particularly if you find it on a prime day sale- it’s practically wholesale.Third, this doesn’t bother me - but if this is your first introduction to solar, do know that it does NOT come with instructions. There is an owners manual for the MPPT controller, and one for the Bluetooth module, but no wholistic setup instructions. This is a bummer. Because it’s quite easy to get wrong if you’re not familiar with solar array series and parallel configuration installations. If this is you, be sure to do plenty of homework. Understands watts and amps, and how they relate to volts, at minimum. And then learn about the pros and cons of panel series wiring vs parallel wiring, vs hybrid - and as well, know whether you will have sun coverage for all panels equally (on average), or if there are times when one or more panels are shaded while others are not. The former is fine for series wiring, and is fundamentally easier. The latter requires parallel wiring for efficient solar capture and energy generation.Fourth, the curious thing about this setup is that it includes a 10amp ANL inline load fuse between the positive line and the MPPT controller. Generally, 10amp is only sufficient for series wiring. However, the kit includes the Y branches only used in parallel configurations- and parallel configurations generally require a higher amp ANL fuse. This is quite confusing to any novice, and rightly so. Renogy panels and MPPT controllers are great, but guys- you NEED to add instructions. At the very least to prevent dangerous misconfigurations, at most to assure the most efficient setup. And please fix the ANL fuse problem.Because these are not issues for me, I still give this an easy 5 stars. But if any of this doesn’t make sense, it’s imperative that you research it.In all, it took 45m to fully install the panels on my roof, run the wires into my garage, install two parallel 100ah lifepo4 batteries, and hardwire the grid to my inverter.Ps. This kit is well priced. The kit that includes two batteries and an inverter is way overpriced. Renogy batteries are overpriced (but good). You can find batteries with the same features, and better inverters, for half the cost of Renogy brand products.Renogy panels and controllers are worth it. Batteries and especially the inverters, not so much.Good luck

Popping my Solar Power Cherry
The media could not be loaded. This has been a great learning journey for me. In my video, I had just set my circuitry up and wanted to run a test to see if it would power my Gaming PC and it works flawlessly. During the day(on the weekends) I can game and depending on the game I'm playing, it can stay topped off at 100% battery charge and only drains about 5 amps at most while the sun's out. My PC normally is around 180 watts and on higher end games draws around 480 watts nearly 20 amps so at night I make sure to only game about 2 to 3 hours before my 200Ah battery gets near 50%. I got my wife using it now and she's become energy cognizant making sure to even remind me to use our solar power system that we setup together. We love it and this is one of my favorite purchases that I've ever made of all time! I got the whole kit during a sale and it was totally worth it. I highly recommend anyone interested in solar to go this route. I accidentally drained my battery to 77A and the solar panels charged it back to 200A in 8 hours and that was with clouds. Usually on a full sunny day you'll be able to run lots of appliances if you get the 2000 watt inverter. We've run a 10A vacuum cleaner with ease, our magic bullet blender, my 10A Bluetooth Aura 3 bass speaker, my work laptop 50-150 watts, Keurig 1500 watts (good for 2 cups only draws a lot of power) , we've charged our rechargeable batteries, our phones , USB lights,etc... The point being this is the best for a beginner like me. It was not super hard to setup. Make sure you get a battery shunt to better monitor your battery. That was why I ended up draining down to 77amps. The Bluetooth feature is nice but as you'll see if you use only that it is totally unreliable for a battery monitor. Either way the best part about it, is you learn so much and gain new skills. Highly recommend this product! I've officially gone solar off grid for my basic appliance needs! Also exuse my cables running everywhere on the floor it was a temporary setup to test what I was trying to do. Excuse the mess in general 😂

Good quality and value.
This is a great 400W kit. You should capure the connection instructions PDF from the site because that was not included in the box. It appears my wires were mismatched by color (red=ground, black=power), but still a good quality kit worth investing in.
