Gives a great hold for curls without drying out the hair. It has a faint fruity smell which is not overbearing. The texture is good & it gives a reasonable shine once dry. Im happy with the size of the product for the price which adds to the value!

Great strong styling gel for curly hair, this is probably my favourite one. Nice big tub, great value, lasts for ages as you don't need loads. Gives excellent hold on my 3a curls.

I have 3b/3c curls - medium density and normal porosity. I absolutely love this product! The smell isn't overwhelming, and it dissipates over time. It leaves my curls looking and feeling shiny and juicy with great hold that can only be described as elastic (as in strong but moveable). I would be careful of using too much of this gel, you don't need much to add a high level of moisture and gloss to your hair. If you use too much, you might feel some unwanted residue. So, to get the moisture level and hold just right, you might need to experiment. This is a high-quality product that is good value for money. I couldn't give it five stars because it does irritate my scalp a little, which means I can only tolerate it for a few days. I'm a bit sensitive to fragrance, so that might explain it. If they ever do a fragrance free version, I'll be their number one customer.

My favourite gel to hold my medium porosity 4b/c hair, love it, no flakes and holds my style for days. Hair must be wet enough before applying product and only needs some light oils after to loc it in.

This is indeed an amazing product. Even though it is not marketed as a strong hold gel and it’s not. It doesn’t provide incredible definition, frizz control and bounce to the curls. You don’t need a lot of it so I advise to be used sparingly unless your hair is on the coarser side.

It works perfectly

Not sure if it’s the weather, my hair or the product. Have 3c-4b, high density, thin, high porosity hair. What I observed: a) in high humidity this gel feels just sticky. Constantly. It does contain Glycerin. That is, might have been expected. But it’s extreme. On my hair at least. b) the hold is very VERY soft. I tried using it alone, using a little and a lot, and combining it with The Doux mousse (the Honey and original one) The stickiness is the same no matter if I use mousse on top. (The mousse also contains Glycerin, I reckon it does not do well in high humidity as well?!) The definition at best medium. First day does already have plenty of frizziness. So far only managed to stretch it to day 4. And this is a “I’m having a bad hair day”-Day. c) Lastly, it takes AGEEEEES to dry on my hair. Using a hair dryer for like 20 min and it’s still not dry. Leaving the rest to dry on its own and it’s still damp in the evening. I could cry!
