On-Guard Akita-8041 Combo Cable Lock - Black, 18.5 x 1.2 cm

Thought I could get away with a smaller/cheaper lock as I mainly store my bike in a secure store at work or in my flat. So I bought this just to keep my bike locked up outside shops for short periods hoping it would deter quick opportunistic theft, but no luck.A guy walked up and was able to cut through the lock with what looked like a pair of garden sheers small enough to fit in his pocket. It took him one squeeze and in less than 5 seconds he had cut it off chucked it on the floor and cycled away. On closer inspection (see photo) the actual metal tube inside the rubber casing is very thin indeed no wonder it gave way.Heed this warning and spend some cash on a proper lock!

Useless - have not even used the thing and it has already fallen apart. Set the lock code as explained in the literature and pone end of the lock came away - want a refund......

It says the cable is 1.2 cm in diameter, but if you exclude the hose covering the cable, it is more like 0.5cm. Bike got stolen but they were nice enough to leave the broken lock to show how thin the cable really is.

I'm using the previous model for more than 8-9 years without an issue. Love the length and easy of use. Probably not the strongest/safest, but it does the job.

Received very fast and the quality is definitely greater than other combination locks I have. If someone wants to steal your bike, it's inevitable but nevertheless £3-4 more worth the challenge!

Just the job, plenty of scope to attach to most static items and keep the bike secure

The length of this cable lock is ideal as it allows you to put it through both wheels and the frame, its easy to set your code and seems very well made, I would highly recommend it.
