Victoria Cotton Shirts Elegant Ruffle Collar V Neck Dickey Mock Turtleneck Faux Collars for Women Girls

I made a Regency era gown to wear for an upcoming Afternoon Tea at the museum where I work. I am an older woman who doesn't like a lot of "skin" showing when wearing a low cut, high waisted gown. As this will likely only be worn once, I didn't want to put a lot of money into accessories, but still want to look reasonably "period correct". I found this "dickey" on Amazon at a very reasonable price. It is indeed 100% cotton, and will pass well enough for a Regency chemisette for my event. I am 5'2". 120 lbs, 38" bust, and it fits me just fine. Looks great under my plain dark brown silk gown, and it stays in place. I like it so much, I may end up wearing it under some V-necked pull over sweaters this winter! I'm very happy with the purchase, and look forward to wearing it at our Jane Austen Birthday Tea later this month.

Got the set of 4 for affordability and because they all look nice. The two more basic ones are made in light Oxford cotton, and the tighter ruffle is cute without being too soft or frou frou style; the white is a bright bleached white and the black a true black. The two with the eyelet patterned collars are made with a lightweight, vertical patterned fabric that I think makes them extra nice (as well as less wrinkly as the crisp Oxford); the white is a natural white and the black is a true black. One size fits 38C-40B comfortably; I don't want to feel the elastic straps under the arms so I like them loose. These are a bit longer than the average dickie, and the eyelet ruffle one extends beyond mid-sternum and can be made to ruffle out from a vest like a cross-over shirt. The solid Oxford style is great for work or modern use, but will need more care to iron wrinkles if flat-stored. The eyelet ruffle is a great Victorian-ish option for a Victorian or pirate costume, though if you want more authentic Victorian for cosplay, check out another Eyibenlilan set with the same nice fabric, the high-button neck comfortable soft jacquard (B0D8JB9DMS) - the neck on that is about 15in circumference. Note about photo: I wore with a gray-blue vest to show color contrast and length of the dickie (photo stops mid-sternum), and an ice gray sweater to give you a sense of how black the black is.

Living in Texas and loving layered fashion looks means these are a MUST. This one is well made and will fit most sizes. Big enough to fit comfortably

If you have a larger bust or a low cut neckline you're trying to fill this won't work. The front panel is too short and you will see the bottom and the elastic through your neckline.

As advertised, just not a great option for larger chested women. That's more on me than the manfacturer, but would have been nice for something that is more size inclusive, wish this item was longer.

Finally great women's cotton blouse dickies. Good designs. I bought the 2 pack of vee neck ones. I prefer to safety pin down the front on the edge to keep it from riding up, but no other issues. It's designed to go under like a button down sweater, not a gaping large vee neck shirt. I'm happy with the purchase, good value. Recommend to buy. Will give you more wardrobe options and flexibility in cooler weather.
