If you have a reciprocating saw, and do any kind of spray painting, then this is money well spent. If you read the directions of any can of spray paint, it will tell you to mix the pain far longer than actually can by had without getting tired. This thing is an absolute beast. Pop it in to a reciprocating saw, squeeze the trigger lightly (don't just mash it), and let it do its thing. The buckle system holds the can completely tight, and the paint gets thoroughly mixed in a very short amount of time. The only time the can has ever started to slide out is when I held it upside down while mixing, which you shouldn't do anyway.' In addition to how well the product works, the customer service is absolutely fantastic. I received a unit that was broken in transit. Before initiating a return, I sent a message to the company through Amazon and included my phone number. The owner/inventor called me personally and said that a new unit would be shipped out the same day, and to keep the cracked one on the slim chance that I might need the parts, should the new unit break some time in the future. I told him that I could likely fix the crack with Locktite's special plastic bonding system, but he insisted on sending a new one and letting me keep the old one. I fixed the cracked one using the Locktite plastic bonding system, and it works flawlessly. Now that I have two MixKwiks, the only natural thing for me to do is buy a new reciprocating saw so I can run both at the same time. In all seriousness, this is an excellent product from a company that has excellent customer service. I truly hope that this product and the company does very well. Anyone who has ever looked at paint shakers knows that they are expensive and the reviews are spotty. Choices for machines that will shake aerosol cans are few to be had. I shake a lot of cans of nitrocellulose lacquer, sometimes more than a half dozen in a day. Under-shaken cans of lacquer give poor results. The well shaken discipline is hard to maintain as it is fatiguing and time consuming. The MixKwik device is elegant in its simplicity. Most well equipped shops and homes will already have a sawzall, cordless or corded, in their possession. For a very modest price, one can obtain a MixKwik Tool and be in the can shaking business like a pro. The sawzall must be of the variable spped variety, as speed control is essential. I would venture to say that one could easily justify the purchase of a cordless, variable speed sawzall for dedicated use with the MixKwik device. Cost of a sawzall kit included, it would still be more cost effective and use less space that most other devices suitable to aerosol mixing purposes. The device takes up very little room, on or off of the sawzall. It fits in a shallow drawer. The MixKwik clamp works well at holding full cans in place and partially consumed cans are even easier to re-shake. It takes about thirty seconds to mix a can of lacquer or enamel better than you have ever mixed one before. Thorough mixing produces better finishing results. What's not to like? Relative to the benefit provided, the cost is irrelevant or even laughable. When I think of all the time I have expended hurriedly shaking cans with my tired and achy hands, I am filled with relief, knowing the MixKwik is there at the end of my sawzall, ready to rock and roll. It pretty much lives there. Some common sense is required in keeping the speed of the sawzall's reciprocation fairly slow. It is easy to tell when too much speed is being used. The sawzall will buck and strain in your hands, the can wanting to depart the device by slow migration from the hold down's grip. Anyone who has owned a modern pair of downhill ski boots or snowshoes will be familiar with the clamping system. It is proven and reliable. The only problem I had with this device was getting one as soon as I would have wished for it. Amazon was sold out for extended periods of time, not a bad indicator for the product. I ultimately purchased directly from the manufacturer, for a slightly higher price and no Prime shipping, but as I said before, the tool makes itself useful immediately in a shop where much time is spent shaking aerosol cans. No regrets whatsoever. The MixKwik Tool would make an excellent and easily affordable gift for any handy person, craftsman, mechanic or homeowner. They might have a funny look on their face when they open the gift, but the thank yous will be coming for years to come.

Does a very good job of shaking spray paint cans. Just make sure it is tight enough, or you may toss the can across the room.

Do you still need to do a final shake after using this, yes, but it gets that initial shake up in progress. You know the one, the one that nothing moves in side and you know you are in for a world of hurt to get it started to mix??? Ya', that one. As others said ( thank you!!) do not have this pointed in the direction of anything, as it will usually catapult your can at some point. I mean without a strap over the top of the can, not too shocking that it happens, you can only ratchet the can down so much. And yes, The inside rubber strips came off after a few uses. But despite all that ( if they made some tweaks that would be ideal) it is totally worth it

I use it for the tall cans of spray foam. Works great. I read a review about having to take it slow because it shot the can out of the strap. I had the tall foam can strapped in with the gun hooked on it and ran the sawzall on full speed and there was no problem. Great Idea, great little tool. Not something you need, but shaking those cans by hand is awkward and I never know if I shake it good, long enough. No worries when using this attachment. If you are thinking about it, just buy it. You won't be disappointed. My coworker and I laugh every time we use it.

Originally bought this for myself but never used it, many of my favorite YouTube channels use it, I gave it to my Step Dad for Christmas to use on his drag car, he loves it and uses it all the time, my mom loves it because she doesn't have to shake cans for him for hours too. It seems to be holding up really well considering.

I wanted this to be so much better. The biggest problem I found with it is the strap. Regardless of how tight I cinch it down, the can of crawls up off the base, requiring constant re-adjustment and fiddling. The rubber strap feels like it's not going to last very long at all, and is the weakest part of this design. I took an old, dull sawzall blade, drilled some holes in it and affixed a piece of scrap sheet metal with a large hose clamp and made my own.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing! I make custom tumblers so I'm painting pretty much every day. I'm also middle aged and shaking the cans manually is ROUGH on my arms/shoulder. I bought a different model shaker first (the one that uses the drill) and it was awful... so I bought this one and it's been fantastic! Took me a minute to figure out the ratchet strap (could use instruction sheet) but once I did... wow! So easy to strap a can in (and release). Now for me, I found that no matter how tight I ratchet it down, I can't run the saw at full speed (where you can lock the power button on). At full saw speed the can will work loose and shoot out of the tool. Not a big deal for me as I don't need to run it at full speed. I have it hooked up by a chair where I sit and rest the saw vertically in my lap and just rest my finger over the trigger. It is so easy and it shakes the cans perfectly! Anyone who does paining with cans should have one of these... no question! In fact I'm going to buy a couple more just to have on hand in case something happens to this one. Seriously, if you paint with shaker cans a lot and are wondering if you should try this... let me just tell you, without question, you should get one!
