This thing goes as far as the eye can see. You can spin the top to go from a dot to more of a rectangle beam, works the same with the attachments. Held it on a paper towel from a foot away but did not catch it on fire. Definitely not for kids, this thing is pretty much a lightsaber. You can point out stars in the sky with ease.

A super high powered futuristic looking laser, with multiple options that you can attach as well. I haven't used it for long periods of time, but it's the most intense laser I've ever seen in person. Try it!!!

The laser itself is nice and heavy, but the pattern tips are super cheap plastic. I was only going through them looking at the patterns and two of them came apart and one BURNED!!! Also, it's not said in the description above, but the slip of paper that comes with it, that is to be the instructions, say only to use TWO min at a time. If used longer than that, turn off for one min or longer to continue use.

Oh yeah this is a lightsaber. I say this with extreme caution - please read: do NOT shine this on one spot for longer than a few seconds without one of the attachments on. It will ignite flammable materials! However, you should be safe with one of the many caps you can screw on.Many of the attachments give off amazing light shows and can be seen from very far away. I particularly like the galaxy effect lights as well as the bullseye. These effects can light up a room.Another thing is that this is a rather large laser pointer, definitely the size of a medium flashlight. It has what I believe to be an aluminum frame which is pretty durable. However, I do not recommend hitting it against any surfaces. The protective cap covers the button on the back to prevent accidental activation which I find to be a great safety feature. Overall, it's a nice novelty but caution must be exercised.
