Good product even though a bit heavier than other models.

Black &Decker is a firm of international repute and so I bought this. They wanted to retain their colour combination of other products on the iron also resulting in not able know the level of water- very bad engineering. Also it doesn't realy deliver the results of cotton ironing as promised. I used to get better ironing with sprying water and ironing with dry iron. The spray- I couldn't make it work. Does it work? Ironing is much better for synthetic pants. Gives very very good crease. Sole plate is very good.

The iron is light weight, sturdy built and has a heavy flow of steam. Settings are easy to use. Because of heavy steam flow it's very easy to remove wrinkles from the clothes. For the price, it is the best one out there.

Buy at your own risk! The product is of poor quality that it will not last even in the warranty period. I am writing this after using product for 1.5 years and still within warranty! I have had to get it repaired twice and now the the thermostat has stopped working. And worst of all the customer service is so poor that they have stopped responding, maybe they are afraid that they will have to replace the iron! Have tried to escalate to the senior mgmt but no response... Because of this low quality product I have damaged clothes costing more than the iron itself! Best to avoid this brand and go in for some other one..

I purchased my first Blk n dckr steam iron around 13 years back and that time i guess i purchased the top model. So i know how good that was, everything was perfect, after that i tried Bajaj and Philips which were equally good. This one is good too, the only thing which doesn't impress me is the plastic used on outer body, it's not stron and there's no view to check water levels, all the steam irons i used had one. So you need to guess that you have water in it and if it doesn't steam, pour some water. Always use filter water and not raw water, else it will fry the internal component in few months. In 1600 bucks i expected something better if not good.

Value for money But One thing is it leaks water when it is put downward
