Avène XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil, 13.5 oz

After trying so many baby body washes without finding the right one, I decided to follow my baby’s dermatologist’s recommendation because she struggles with eczema. This product has been truly amazing, and I couldn’t be more grateful to this brand for creating something so gentle and effective.Seeing my baby’s skin improve has been such a relief. If your child—or even you—deal with eczema or sensitive skin, I highly recommend giving this product a try. It may become your new favorite too!

I cannot recommend this enough! I have lupus which affects my skin-it gets very reactive and inflamed, and most of the skin care products I used to use, I cannot any longer because they irritate my skin. I tried the Avene Xeracalm while at a friends and was shocked. Immediately my skin felt “normal”—like it used to feel prior to lupus! It was immediately calmed, not overly moisturized and not stripped but perfectly balanced and throughly clean. I use it twice everyday and am on my 2nd or 3rd bottle and nothing has changed except that my skin is way less reactive and much happier! I will use this for the rest pf my life and am so grateful for it! It works jus as well on my youngest daughter who has awful eczema on her hands, arms, legs and feet…it does the same for her-calm, much happier skin, and I I have tried it all with her! Thank you!!!!

The Xeracalm body wash is a godsend. It is the only thing my skin will tolerate (even my ears are healing). I use it with Derma E’s eczema body lotion. The Xeracalm bar soap, not so much (caused an immediate flare). The body wash is getting expensive with the amount I use, but I use it for handwashing also (along with Derma E’s sensitive hand cream). And the Avene website says no animal testing, so I can use it without worrying.

I absolutely love the Avène XeraCalm A.D Lipid‑Replenishing Cleansing Oil — it’s become a must‑have in my skincare routine. Expensive

I was glad to find this soap/oil. It was recommended by my dermatologist and has been helpful for my eczema. It cleans well with out over drying my skin. It has helped with flare up as well. It is fairly unscented which is helpful. It does not take much to get enough coverage for the whole body which allows one bottle to last for quite a while!

I simply can't love this cream enough! It has helped my 3 year old's eczema sooo much! I have to still use his steroid cream (very minimally) maybe once a week for little spots where he flares, but overall, this cream has helped make his skin so much healthier. We have gone from a life of pediatric dermatologists, pediatric allergists, skin prick testing, several different prescription meds (Eucrisa included which is AWFUL), multiple anti histamine medications, bleach baths, wet wraps, elimination diets, constant scratching until he bleeds, crying/ screaming from discomfort, infected skin that turned into an abscess requiring 10 days of antibiotics, and trying approximately 15 (if not more) different over the counter creams, lotions, ointments, etc etc etc to now having a much happier little guy who can wear shorts again and play like a normal kid. Again, it's not a miracle lotion or an instant fix, but I know this lotion (& cutting back, not eliminating, but cutting back on dairy) has helped him tremendously. I started with applying four + times a day along with the triamcinolone 4+ times daily until I got his skin under control and from there I've been able to slowly wean down to twice daily applications with the lotion and, like I mentioned previously, only one very tiny application of the steroid once a WEEK. This lotion is quite pricey and I wish it was a bit more affordable, but I have been able to stretch a bottle to about a month and half now with twice daily use. As a mom whose heart was breaking seeing her baby boy suffer so much, it has been worth it to budget for this product❤
