The MengRan 3.9" Ballpoint Ink Pen Refills are the best red ink refills that I have found to date for pens that take ISO G2 (Parker style) refills. They write about as smoothly as a gel pen but without smearing, and the color is a true deep red vs. the orange red you see from, for example, a "red" Pilot G-2 gel pen. These refills work in every pen body that uses ISO G2 refills that I tried them in, including Parker Jotter and Urban ballpoints, a Rotring 600, and inexpensive ballpoints from Unibene and ChaoQ. Other than "ballpoint" (probably meaning oil-based) and "fast-drying," MengRan doesn't say much about their ink formula, but I think it might be hybrid ink like a Uni-ball Jetstream or Pilot Acroball.I like to use red ink to annotate my monthly bills with the date paid and either a confirmation code for an online payment or check number for a mail-in payment. Until receiving these refills for review, I was unable to find a satisfactory ISO G2 (Parker style) red ink refill, so I had to use either a red gel pen or a red Uni Jetstream refill in the capped SX-217 Jetstream body since the more commonly-available Jetstream RT pen bodies are too fat for me. However, after trying this product, my new favorite bill paying pen and refill combination is a red-body Rotring 600 pen with one of these smooth-writing red ink ballpoint refills from MengRan. I have already ordered another 10-pack.

Sometimes the ink comes out a lot (blotches) then suddenly it slows making the tip scratch the paper you're writing on & barely making a pen mark.I guess you get what you pay for.
