This is hands down the best detangling leave-in conditioner I’ve found. My kids have 3C curly hair and they are very rough on it every day, making detangling a major task. This product has significantly reduced the time it takes to detangle and it leaves their hair silky soft without any weird residue, crunchiness, or oiliness. It’s VERY effective at loosening knots so the hairs slide apart easily. It’s half the price of the one I used to use, which is a huge win. And it smells great. We use it generously - for two kids using it every day, we go through a bottle a week. I apply it to wet hair and use a detangling brush.

I don’t really enjoy leaving reviews, but I found these Pantene products to be so shockingly good that I felt compelled to share in case it helps someone else who struggles to find a great shampoo and conditioner for relaxed hair. My husband swears by Pantene for his hair, which I found useless for mine about 10 years back. Surprisingly, after reviewing several products across the brand/price spectrum, I decided to give Pantene’s Gold Series set a try. Go figure. I liked their story on how the products were formulated. To my shock and glee, the shampoo and conditioner were a godsend! I don’t know what happened over the last 10 years, but this time, things were different between Pantene and me! Only there was this nagging disappointment with the markup and size (down) compared to the other Pantene shampoo and conditioner sets. I decided to try the Daily Moisture Renewal Pro-V set because of the great customer reviews, Amazon’s Rufus analysis, the huge bottle sizes, and the price per fluid ounce being so much cheaper than the Gold Series set, which is approximately 118.42% more expensive. Here’s how I would describe each set. Gold Series: Smells delicious like a combination of flowers, fruit, and candy. Shampoo (8.5 fl oz bottle) lathers well and makes hair immediately soft after a first and second wash. The conditioner (8.4 fl oz tube) is epic at detangling and smoothing, leaving hair feeling soft, light, and beautifully scented. Daily Moisture Renewal Pro-V: Has a lasting fresh herbal scent. Shampoo (27.7 fl oz bottle) lathers well and makes hair immediately soft after a first and second wash. The conditioner (25.1 fl oz bottle) is epic at detangling and smoothing, leaving hair feeling soft, deeply moisturized, and beautifully scented. Bottom line: I’ll be sticking with the Daily Moisture Renewal Pro-V series for now. They’re all great products, but the crazy markup and the tiny bottle sizes for the Gold Series are just a bummer. I hope Pantene will fix this soon so that all customers feel like they’re getting a fair price for the products that work best for their hair...

This set works wonders. The shampoo cleans thoroughly without stripping moisture, and the sulfate-free conditioner leaves hair incredibly soft, hydrated, and manageable. Great scent too!

After using these products my hair feels fairly moisturized and still bouncy. The smell was not as pronounced as the other reviews stated, and quite frankly, I felt they could’ve pumped the smell up a bit. Nonetheless, I think this was a solid purchase, especially given the price point and the fact that my hair doesn’t feel dry and brittle after using.

This was really pricey on Amazon but I’ve had no luck finding it locally. But, worth the purchase! My dad is black and my mom is Japanese, so I have the best of two worlds. I have great natural thick curl that needs oil and moisture and it sucks up product fast. I do comb through my wet hair in the shower every day. When I get out, I only use my fingers to apply a spray moisturizer and a coconut curl cream, then air dry. I wash my hair once per week. After a couple of washes, I feel like the texture of my hair has changed for the better! It almost feels like I’ve used a mild texturizer kit. My hair is smoother, softer and feels thinner. No joke. Not sure how it does that but I’m loving it. My hair is still thick but doesn’t feel as coarse and I feel like I use less product. Things I did not like include the scent - it smells like sweet tarts or Red Bull. Also it’s free of sulfates which is a good thing but it’s hard for me to tell if it’s cleaning the product out. I wash 2-3 times and then leave the conditioner in for five to ten minutes while I finish my shower, then rinse. Loving this and will continue to use it as long as I can find it!

(M) I have 4c coily hair tested this product today nothing but good things to say. Didn’t leave my hair feeling dry the lathering is perfect hair felt moist & detangled with ease.

I love the ahampoo, it made my hair really soft and it smells really good but the conditioner made my hair a little brittle. Other than that, it's ok for the price.

Quite good for my frizzy hair. I use it to hydrate and restyle my curly hair in between a proper wash. This sustains and I can go through just 2 washes a week. Dont need to condition after..stays soft curls when air dried. I loving this. I wish there was a larger bottle i could buy.

The shampoo is fantastic! It's more of a gel than a shampoo and the scent is heavenly! The shampoo smells fruity and my hair is soft, shiny as well as manageable; the shampoo cleansed my hair and WOW! What a difference it makes! I love that the shampoo is sulfate-free, it didn't dry out my hair and it is safe to use on color treated hair, even bleached hair! The shampoo lathers well and it rinsed it out completely; I also love the shampoo has my favorite ingredient, Panthenol (a. k. a. Vitamin B5) for hair growth and that it is infused with Argan oil for softness as well as shine. I will definitely order this beautiful shampoo again! Thank you, Pantene, for making a fantastic shampoo, and thank you, Amazon, for having the shampoo at an affordable price.

Just right for my curly, frizzy hair!!!

I really wanted to like this product. I’ve been searching for something sulfate free that is smoothing and conditioning and sadly this is not it. My hair felt so course and dry after using this that I am tossing it. It feels like I washed my hair and didn’t use any conditioner at all. So disappointing and a total waste of money.
