This heavy-duty polyester fabric grow tent has commercial zippers, and offers a way for you to have something like your own greenhouse inside your home. The right grow tent enables you to raise vegetables such as beans, eggplants and tomatoes, and many other plants at any time of the year. City-dwellers living in cramped spaces, or those who do not have a backyard or another place to raise plants outside their homes will find grow tents to be the perfect space-saving devices for indoor gardening. A grow tent, also known as a dark room grow tent, is also suitable if you are going to germinate or grow seeds hydroponically. Hydroponics is the method of growing plants without the need for compost or soil, so the process is not as messy as when soil is used. All you need is water and the nutrients that the plants require. The benefits of grow cabinet gardening do not stop with the availability of fresh vegetables and fruit for city and apartment dwellers. It has also been found that gardening is an enjoyable task, and many doctors are even prescribing it to their patients for stress relief. Looking at the beautiful plants growing and their fruits emerging and developing has definite therapeutic effects. Thus, more and more people are turning to gardening as a pastime.

I find this lack accurate item depiction disturbing
First off, this is the first tent I have purchased for indoor flowers. So take this with a grain of salt. I will be following up at a later date.THIS TENT DOES NOT MATCH THE DESCRIPTIONIt is a 4x4 tent as the title says, NOT a 4x2 as the description says. GOOD. Read on.THIS TENT DOES NOT MATCH THE PICTURES (at least, not the one I received)There are ___NO SIDE FLAPS!___, the bottom vents are a different geometry, the location of and number of venting pass-through is wrong. I will upload a picture of the interior when I get a chance. BUT no Plastic cornersVENTS are as follows on mine - Looking at the face of the tent (I might be missing one 4" pass-through here)LEFT - 1 8" top back, intake bottom centerBACK - 2 8" top left and right, 1 4" bottom toward left, 1 bottom intake centerRIGHT - 1 8" top back, 1 bottom intake centerTOP - 1 8" back rightThis tent was not my first choice, but as my ceiling height is 82 inches, most 4x4 and 5x5 tents are 84-inches tall. This was one of the only ones I could select while still keeping plenty of ceiling height.I received this yesterday in a REGULAR BROWN BOX. The tent frame is a lot smaller OD than I thought it would be (was expecting 3/4", seems to be more like 5/8th's) but it uses welded steel corners that poles snap into with a key-hole ball/spring. Seems strong enough but does wobble until everything is put together and hanging with weight on it.I didn't have anybody around to help me so I ASSEMBLED IT ALONE. It took a while to properly orient the tent over the frame as I was working in a small room (7 x 6) but once I found all the right corners and slid it over, everything looked great. I was never at a point where I felt the tent was going to rip when dragged over corners. It all feels plenty strong now that it's together. The illustrations in the INSTRUCTIONS ARE MEH, but if you have any sense you can figure it out. Also, the picture is wrong and shows 3 top CROSS-BARS all oriented the same way (with two low hanging bars in back, one in front) the bars are actually meant to have 2 parallel to the door, and the shorter hooked on perpendicular to the door - CROSSING the other two. It makes the tent much stronger for hanging. I even went as far as to zip-tie the bars in place so even if the tent gets a big nudge I don't have to worry about it getting wonky-shaped.The velcro on the outside INTAKE flaps is nice and thick and the seams all overlap at about a 1/2" all around to keep light leak at bay. The double pass-through sleeves for VENTS and ELECTRICAL work well and secure well. I didn't feel like I needed any additional venting at all and I am not even using 3 of the holes. The FLOOR COVER only secures OK. It doesn't have anything on the bottom to stop it from slipping so be mindful when first stepping into the tent. It fastens with Velcro at a nonsensical angle that WILL detach if pulled away from the corner. The ZIPPER is very heavy and functions well. Throughout the assembly, I didn't encounter any snags but I will be oiling it anyways to get some more longevity out of it.OVERALL, I am thrilled with the quality of this tent. $110 is a no-brainier and I will be picking up a second one if ever I need to expand my garden.PROS-Cheap-Heavy fabric construction-No issues with interior scratching or ripping during construction-Good light control as long as the bottom vents aren't opened into a room.-Goes together in about 30-minutes if you're alone-Ample ventilation available for modest grows.CONS-No side windows. This is blatant misrepresentation of the product and is a disappointing.Frame rails and top hangers made of small OD steel. Don't plan on hanging a tire-swing in here.-Slippery floor when mat is in place-Low tolerance connections on frame lend to a lot of "wobble" if not further securedNEUTRAL-Has the synthetic smell you get with any other cheap tent. EDIT: It was gone after 2 days. Totally fine now.-No inside pockets for supplies (not expected)-No places to tie-off cables except smooth frame-A pain to put together on your own - BE PATIENT!

Great value for $97!
Was very easy to put together. Took me about 15 minutes. Set up the frame, stand on a short stepladder and pull the tent over the top. Then just finesse it over the frame. But, the tent I received is not the tent in the pics. And mine does not match some of the other reviewers descriptions. So what. The frame is not beefy but it seems strong enough for inside use. The corners are steel, not plastic. The 3 snap on bars that are supposed to be light hangers are not strong. They will easily support the weight of fluorescent lights but I would hesitate to hang anything heavy from them.I use this tent to grow veggies through the winter and to start all my garden plants in late winter. The lower vent windows use vercro to stay closed and work well. The 2 side tube vents are strong and lightproof. The zipper. There are 2 zips. One at the top and one at the bottom. I guess in case one breaks? The zipper from the top does not work well. It's hard to get started due to the weight of the door. If you pull too hard, something will eventually give. So I use the bottom zipper. It works well. Once closed with the lights on, the tent is lightproof except for a small amount bleeding through the zipper. It has a double floor as well. There is a waterproof insert which is removable should it need to be.All in all, for 97 bucks, I'm quite happy!

Pretty awesome bag.
This was my first time actually using a grow environment other than say...an empty closet in the basement and I must say that the tent is solid. The bars that were included fit well and remain sturdy and are constructed from metal. The tent is somewhat difficult to put together alone, but is by all means manageable. Once constructed, you will see how HUGE this thing is. Im 6'7 and the top easily meets me at eye level, and is Large enough for 7- 9 potted tomato plants. It takes up far more space than I originally intended, which I had to adapt my space to fit.The drip tray fits well in the base, and leaks no light. All in all, a great tent.Cant say anything about the customer service, as everything went perfectly. Happy growing, all.

Its a pretty sturdy set up
Its a pretty sturdy set up, and easy to put together. All together a pretty good set up for low costs couldn't really ask for anything better for the price paid for . I would definitely recommend it to first time growers and pro's for a low costly Grow! With the advantages of having all compartments needed for easy ventilation hook ups and more, Velcro Windows a pluss. I recommend the set up to all indoor growers needing 4x4 of space!
