I got this because of issues with my lower back and sciatica nerve pain. I do 1099 work and every day missed is money lost. Only a couple times used and I started noticing quick improvements to my situation. I still use it. Follow the DVD, it's also on youtube. Do the stretches, you should feel a tightness of the core muscles and don't go further that that. It doesn't take much effort. It's very easy to use. You must apply heat to encourage circulation and drink plenty of water afterwards to flush out your system like with any massage or physical therapy. The stretching will release a lot of extras your body doesn't want. Heat and rehydration are key to recovery.

.It works as long as you're arms and triceps are strong enough to apply the appropriate amount of pressure. I wanted to try it out for a week or so before leaving a review but I felt relief after the first two days. The key is following the directions. You lay flat on the ground for at least a minute and a half, allowing your spine to align and straighten, pull your heels as close to your butt As you can. Then, you place the device down on your hips and press slowly But very hard and hold for about thirty seconds, then slowly release. Then, lay flat again for about a minute.Letting your spine realign, and repeat. I have fought back pain of the lower back since a weightlifting injury. This relieved pressure and pain almost instantly. My girlfriend was unable to push with enough strength to feel what I was feeling. So if you plan to buy this and just know that it does take quite a bit of effort to push and hold.

My Physical Therapist suggested getting a Lumbar traction stretcher, as it was similar to a tool she uses at sessions. I find the price a little high for how simple it is, but I appreciate that there are CDs with additional stretches. I feel the decompression, so I believe this does what it claims. However, I docked two stars because of how unappealing it was to receive the product. There was no padding, so the fact the CDs don’t have scratches is a miracle. The pads look used and a sticker of some sort is coming off. I purchased NEW, so I’m not sure why it would look like this. It is easy to use. There is no way to adjust the device itself - it’s one solid piece. The pads make it relatively comfortable; if you push at an angle, you will get the hard steel digging into your thigh. I’ve only used it twice, but I do believe this will help relieve the pain.

I have used the competitor product for many years and decided to give this one a try. This one is far more difficult to apply force with; I never achieved any release with it. The competitor product I use every night and am able to release several locations consistently.

I purchased this at the recommendation of my chiropractor. It has really made a difference in my over-all back pain relief. It is very easy to use and is made of strong metal so it will hold up over time. I was really surprised at the progress I have been able to make and it is good to feel like an active member of my back pain relief.

Does not work. It does nothing for the back. Would like to return it.
