Beautiful Desk
I must be one of the lucky ones because my desk arrived with no damage at all. Assembly took quite a bit of time, but the instructions are actually half-way decent; not perfect, but better than average. The lighting in my pictures makes the top of the desk (and my flooring) look brownish but both are much grayer than brown. When you assemble the desk, you need to know which side you want the return to be on because assembly is completely different, and the decision comes quickly. I would say the most confusing part of the installation is figuring out how the drawer slides go in because the pictures are beyond tiny. I suggest that before installing the slides, you look "a step ahead" since the picture is actually a bit easier to at least see the direction each slide needs to face. Also pay attention to this step because there are two different sizes of slides. I would say it took me a good 3-4 hours to assemble this desk, can't say for sure since I sort of did it in increments. I recommend having a cordless drill available for the larger screws but don't use a drill on the smaller screws (especially the tiny screws for the drawer slides) since you could easily end up stripping the hole in the particle board. I have no complaints really; the desk feels very solid and has a great amount of workspace. I may change up my configuration but plan to give it a few workdays to see how I like this setup. *** Update 04/28/2023 *** It's been over 3-months so figured I would update my review. This desk is still solid, nothing has changed at all. No screws have come loose, nothing is peeling, etc. The more I use it the more I wish it was a couple inches taller since standard office chair arms are too close to the underside of the top of the desk, but the measurements are clearly listed so I am not faulting the desk. The key is, the desk after over 3-months is still just like new.

Awesome Desk For A Great Price - 2 Years 9 Month Later Updated Review
This desk came packaged nicely in a single large box with everything accounted for and neatly arranged inside. Most of the parts were numbered and lettered for assembly, however I did have to call customer support since I thought that they missed some hardware that ended up not being numbered. If anyone reads this, the screws that go to the drawer handles are not numbered and come in the plastic attached to the drawer handle packaging. Assembly was pretty easy but I did get tripped up briefly when it came to the rollers that guide the drawers in and out. A quick 5 minute call to customer service cleared it up and after that it was simple. Just be aware that the rollers are marked but the marking is hard to see, so give them a really close look, the directions left that fact out and didn't really mention that, though I believe the emailed directions had something about it. Also make sure to use the glue that is included for ALL of the dowels, it helps to prevent wobbling when assembled. Just stick a drop or two in each dowel hole and you will be good. Having someone give you a hand with assembly would be a good idea for some parts, but I was able to do it alone without much trouble. One thing I would suggest is that you call in to customer service and ask them to email you the directions as well so that you can zoom in and see the details a little bit better. They offered to send me the directions via email and it was very helpful. The desk once put together looks and feels great, sturdy, no wobbling and feels solid. The drawers move in and out nicely. Just be aware that because of the "floating top" design, you really shouldn't sit on the desk. You can put all of your stuff on it no problem, but if you put your full weight on it, you will likely damage it. If you want a nice L shaped desk with a lot of work space, without spending a fortune, this is a good option. 2 YEARS AND 9 MONTHS LATER FOLLOW UP. Still a nice desk without any major or unexpected issues. For the last 2 and a half years I have had a set of large dual monitors being held up by a double armed clamp style mount holding their full weight, moving them up and down, back and forth without any significant issues beyond a minor indent after 2 and a half years where it is clamped to my desk. These are pretty heavy monitors with a fairly heavy clamp, all the weight concentrated into a 7" x 4" spot where the clamp is, and so far the desk has not failed or shown any signs of failing. Drawers still work fine, no creaking or wobbling. Sure, there are some scratches here and there, but I also set heavy items on my desk and slide them around, so that is to be expected of any desk with a finish like this. The last 10 photos are updated since my original review. From my own personal experience, this desk is going to last quite a while. It has been dragged from room to room, sometimes without even removing the monitors, and has been abused, but is still in good shape. The price has gone up about $100 since purchasing it, so I don't know that I would spend the current amount on it, but for the $303 I paid in 2020, it was well worth it, and continues to be well worth it.

Great size desk for multiple computers
This is a great size desk, if you have multiple computers like me. There is plenty of room for a laptop and monitor on each side. The added storage options add value and versatility to it. The design is also modern and attractive. That said, this is an economical desk - do not expect perfection. Is it made out of solid wood? No. Is it easy to assemble? Not really. My desk did not come with any assembly instructions inside the box, and the ones listed in the add at Amazon are not the correct ones for this model, which I only found out only after printing them; all 18 pages. The instructions for this desk have 24 pages. Additionally, they are hard to read and follow. Even if I have an "IKEA PhD" in assembling furniture, I did misassemble something due to the poor instructions - and so will you most likely. Another tip is to not over-torque the screws that go in the particle board. I found it best to use an impact drill on the lowest setting to get all the screws and fasteners just snug and tight. Overall, I took me by myself 2.5 hours to assemble the desk. It is a nice piece of furniture that serves its purpose for me at an affordable price.

Donโt listen to other reviews about instructions
If you have 2 brain cells to rub together the instructions are not hard to follow lol. Just keep your space organized and make sure you read the product labels on the side of each part. Follow everything carefully and be sure to stick to the configuration you chose because each page has separate instructions for left or right configuration. I was able to put this together very easily by myself with zero issue. My only complaint is there is a couple dings in the front of the desk but you canโt really see them unless you look for them. I absolutely love love love this desk. Itโs incredibly sturdy and so gorgeous. Iโve already recommended it several times and 2 have bought lol. Canโt say enough good things about it. Cappuccino was worth the wait as well. Also the little space between the desktop and drawers looks really cool with some ledโs to light it up. Neat effect

Looks expensive and sleek - but hard to put together
I think it looks extremely sleek and expensive all put together! My best piece of advice is to lay out all of the pieces in an organized way and make sure everything is there before starting (like pictured) to make the process easier. It took me about 2.5 hours to put together by myself. Not impossible to use a screw driver, but you'll probably want to use a drill to make it go quicker. Luckily, all of my pieces were there and nothing was damaged like I was afraid of from reading the other reviews. (A LOT of people received broken or missing parts). The directions are very Ikea-like, just photos, no words. Just be patient with it so you don't have to undo mistakes. I would skip to the end and see whether or not you want it to be left or right facing before starting, because they provide two separate directions for each way and I initially got confused on what I was looking at. BE AWARE though, the materials are made from cardboard and can break easily if you're not careful while handling them. I accidentally made a peg go through the bottom of one of the drawer bases just by gently trying to push it into place (pictured). Overall, I'm happy with the finished product and I hope it lasts for being over $300!

Great LARGE desk
So first things first; Flanery was the first seller I bought this desk from. I wanted the grey one, but it was out of stock so I ordered the white/cement one. I ordered it 11/15 to be delivered 12/8, then was told 12/4 it had a delay on it and they couldn't deliver it until January 10 and then they canceled it due to it being out of stock. So I went back and ordered a second one, the taupe one from BCertified Sellers and it's $60 cheaper! They said that one's not going to be be delivered until January 6. Then the first one went back in stock after they've already canceled my order and it's for almost $200 MORE. And now the grey one is back on sale. I ordered the gray one from VM Express and canceled the taupe one no problem from BCertified Sellers. I came out paying way cheaper AND it shipped out the night I bought it and delivered two days early! Now about the desk: I'm thankful for the delivery people because it came intact and I know others said their's were broken. It is a HEAVY box! I had all of my materials. I'm a very organized person and the instructions are more of a picture book than worded directions. I find those easy to follow personally. It took me 4 hours alone to put it together. I did have trouble with the drawer tracks as the pictures didn't give the best details about it. I am in LOVE with the desk! It's the largest desk I could find and I was looking at this desk for months before I bought it. It's still hollowed out engineer wood so I know it's not the sturdiest, but it is holding up very well for the few days it's been up! I have 3 monitors and a large tower, as well as a printer and they all fit with more room to spare! For the material, I don't think it's worth as much money as it's being sold for, but the size of it kind of balances it out. The larger drawer is a filing cabinet and the bars are horizontal so that you can turn to the side to shift through versus from the front of the drawer.

Missing Hardware, Customer Service Nowhere to be Found.
I would love to be able to write a review for this desk based on its sturdiness, easy of assembly, or looks, but I cant. The box arrived looking pretty darn beat up (its to be expected, its a big desk), but aside from a few small dents and dings looked like everything was in place. It wasn't until I unloaded all of it on my floor that I realized there was NO HARDWARE packed with this desk. I looked high and low, thinking I had simply overlooked it, but to no luck. There was genuinely no hardware, no screws, no brackets, supports, or anything. I was just left with a big pile of flat lay boards. No big deal though, it happens. So I called customer service only to be greeted with "our offices are closed". Once again, no big deal, it was pretty late at night so I would call the next day (a weekday mind you). I tried about 15 times throughout the day to get in contact with them, all greeted with the same message. They provide a nice big yellow sheet of paper with the desk that says "please don't return this product, please just contact customer support". Well, I'm here to tell you that unless you have a fax machine (the only method I didn't try), their customer support simply doesn't respond to calls, emails, or even through their automated service part request. Personally, I don't want to go through the hassle of returning this giant desk, but I genuinely cannot find similar hardware at the local lowes or home depot or whatever to try to cobble it together myself. Please, Monarch, I just want to save us both some headache. If you're considering this desk, consider the fact that you may wind up with 140lbs of poly-fill boards scattered across your living room with no way to put them together.

Absolutely the BEST DESK and I'd buy it again!!! Give ten stars if I could too.
This company (Monarch) really engineered and manufactured one STELLAR desk! After extensive searching I was fortunate enough to find this (Monarch Specialties Computer 70"L Desk Left or Right Facing - White / Cement-Look) desk. If you're serious about having the best desk for the money, something extremely WELL-BUILT and easy to assemble. You just found it and let me say, in my opinion I'd not waste your time or money on any other desk, period! I purchased a hunk of junk originally and it cost me about $200.00. Other desks look nice perhaps; however, this is a professional and GREAT office desk for any room, at home or commercially! PERIOD! Without spending over $1,000.00 that is and, the quality of this desk regardless of the material (That being not solid-oak or whatever) is so good, I'd buy this desk again and again and surely recommend this particular one to family and friends! Trust me. Do not waste your time on these other wimpy and poorly built desks! Only advice I can offer is: You can assemble this desk one of only two ways, facing left or facing right. It all has to do with the direction of the longest piece that actually measures 71โ in length as well as, the drawers (the single and double positioning of them / on left or right), just look at the photos closely and youโll see. Refer to the last page of the manual and decide what is best for you, then just follow whatever you choose (Left/right assembly) all the way through from the very first page! Take your time. You will not be assembling this in an hour or two. No desk worth being called a desk will be assembled in that amount of time. Just saying.
