Floortex Chair Mat with Lip for Carpets Polycarbonate Clear

I bought this as a replacement for a FloordirectPRO Office chair mat which lasted exactly 3 days before it cracked where one of the chair Castors was positioned - no greater pressure than me just sitting on the chair, and the chair has wide castors so no point source of pressure. So I researched Amazon again, paid a little more and bought this one. It has so far been excellent and stood up to normal use - as it should, but obviously others do not. The only minor issue is that it moves slightly on the carpet - but this is common with carpets with pile and it really is no trouble to move it occasionally given the major benefits which I list as - I can move my chair easily, the chair no longer damages the carpet or creates fluff, my feet no longer rub the carpet wearing it and creating fluff and importantly given the new carpet, it looks good on the carpet and in the room. I would fully recommend this product. Pay the price - it is definitely worth it.

We needed a very hard wearing mat for our short pile carpet in a much used study. We have had other well-known store brand mats in the past which did not last for more than a year. This mat does not disappoint. It seems slightly thicker and more durable than the others. The desk chair certainly rolls very smoothly across the surface. It is not too obtrusive and certainly does not move about - the grippers on the underside really do grip! Only time will tell as to how long it lasts but I am more than very hopeful. If it outlasts the others then the extra price paid for the mat will really be worth it. I would definitely give this a go!

Tried a cheaper mat from a local stationery store - returned it because of a terrible smell (which the store knew about!). As the title indicates, this mat is much more expensive than many mats on Amazon. However, having read many negative reviews of other mats, and having had experience of this mat (previous one had lasted more than three years, being heavily used on a daily basis), I decided to go for this tried and tested product. Definitely the right choice on low-pile carpet.

Really pleased with this mat, yes it's a little pricey but it has totally saved our new carpet that was rapidly getting destroyed by a chair with rollers on in our home office. It works brilliantly, doesn't move and you can actually pretty well forget it is there, as it's transparent it sticks out less than heavily dimpled carpet did. Highly recommend, quality product that is more than fit for purpose.

This replaced a similar mat that we have had for years but which has cracked. It is supposedly for low/medium pile carpets but slides around all over the place on top of ours. Every couple of days it has moved back from my desk by about 6 inches and has to be moved back forward again. The "spikes" just don't seem to provide any grip.Update - in under 12 months the mat is full of cracks. Another star knocked off

Not too rigid to crack like the garbage that Ryman sell. The spikes are long enough to prevent it from moving on our medium pile carpet. Very happy with the product so fat. I'll update this if there are any issues.

Bought this as I have just re-carpeted. It helps a lot when moving the chair. It does move slightly, but that is just because of the nap of the carpet.

Excellent, does what it says it will do.
